Nice little place. I went on a Saturday 28°c at 12:30 it was dead. Nobody to show my paid tickets to, so I didn't even have to pay😅 but I'm happy to have as it goes to the care of the animals. Everything was so nice and tidy. Clean water. Clean bedding. The animals look so well taken care of. It's just a nice stroll. Took about 1 hour and 45 mins for us but it was so hot that we kinda rushed a bit more. You walk pass the cafe pass the football pitch and follow the path to the right and its there. But there are signs. My son is 11 and loved it with his ipad taking pics and videos. Especially of the dog type animals by the goats fighting over a carcus😆My 6 year old loved it. Cause it was nice and quiet and just a calm walk. Not too much or too little to see. The otters were SO cute. It's not a full day out but if you want something to do for 2-3 hours then I'd recommend it. Staff were lovely and answered our questions. Unfortunately the capybara has passed away 😞 but was told more will be coming end of summer. So we will be back to see them. Exotic area wasnt up to much. But hey ho. I'd recommend taking some sandwiches as only a vending machine there. And it wasn't over priced. Everything was about £1.10. So thats reasonable. Plenty of benches. Reasonably priced at £18 for 1...

We visited for the first time today after finding it recommended on a website to go to see capybaras. As it was, they only have one and they've changed the age of the experience so my son couldn't do his 8th birthday treat. He is Autistic and its his special interest but we managed to explain to him he the plan had changed- website definitely needs altering. That being said, we had a really nice few hours at the mini zoo and I can't fault the care of the animals, the enclosures are immaculate. It was perfect for a family like mine as it was quiet, most zoos are too crowded and overwhelming for 2 of my children and they had a lovely calming time here. There is only a vending machine but loads of picnic benches to sit and have a picnic. We will definitely come again next...

Lovely little zoo! We booked a capybara experience and it was brilliant! We got to feed them and gave Cookie belly rubs, which he loved. The zoo keeper who took us into the enclosure was lovely and she answered any questions we had about the animals. The zoo is fairly small, but no less great. It wasn't too busy and there was a good range of animals, who all look well cared for. I like that the college use it in the week to learn about and how to care for the animals. Parking was easy and well signposted to the zoo, we went straight in when there and could pay on the door if needed. There's a lovely cafe near the car park too. We will...

Date of visit: Saturday March 2022. Located within the College and University grounds. Went here to see the new born lambs. Tickets were only £8 per adult which is a bargain as it includes the mini zoo. Could easily spend a full day here. It was a busy time, so took about 30mins to wait in the queue to hold a lamb. Parking was no problem. Wheelchair accessible. Cafe was great, I had a baked potato which was cooked perfectly. The mini zoo was much more expansive than I was expecting, with small monkeys, lemurs and wallabies.

This mini zoo is bigger and has more animals than we originally expected. The animals all looked healthy and happy (but it in a university for vets 😆). There is a bit of a walk from the car park to the zoo entrance, and at the time of our visit, you had to pay online as there was nowhere to pay at the zoo entrance. It is well worth the price and we'd visit again. Its only open at weekends and school holidays but check online before you visit.

The mini zoo was great, all the animals seem happy and well looked after, their enclosures were clean and you could see boards all around for the staff and students to write who did what and when to ensure nothing was missed. They had a lady doing a talk about birds of prey which was interesting and informative. We got a wowcher deal for a family of four so was even more reasonably priced.
