A really great place to visit if you are an animal lover. The farm has a great variety of animals, with more coming soon according to the site.
They have different animals, from lions to elephants and a expansive site to walk around.
We also had food from here, we ordered 2 pork burritos. They were around £12.50 each which is a little expensive and to be honest, they werent that impressive for taste and we actually left a bit of our food. It was quite bland and the pork was not the best we tasted. The only part that had the best taste was the sauce, which was quite tangy. We know not to order this next time.
Even the toasties were around £8 each.
Besides the food, the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great time. We even went on the tractor ride for £2 each and that was a nice little ride.
Another disappointing part was the fact that the bird walk enclosure was closed due to guidelines on avian flu, which is not the parks fault, but did take away from the experience slightly.
We also found out they run experiences and encounters which for some people will be great, but they do seem very pricey. We saw 2 people in the zoo participating in the Capybara encounter. Which you can talk to a member of staff about the animal and feed them. Unsure of how long it lasts for as website lacks that information and we did not ask at the time, but it costs £50 per person, which is pretty steep when you factor in what you get for it and the cost to enter the zoo.
The animal experiences however seem more vast, but do cost considerably more, but for how much more you may be able to do in them, it may be worth it to some people. The giraffe experience for example is £190 for 2 people, which is pretty pricey.
All in all it was a great day. Got to feed the animals, got to pet some of the smaller animals they had during the meet and greet and got to explore the zoo. This was our second time here. Would definitely recommend and will...
Read moreA great day out for children with lots for them to do. There are lots of animals including, but not limited to, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, bears, monkeys, deer, llamas, meerkats, peacocks, praise dogs, cows, wallabies, eagles, giant tortoises, horses, cows, reptiles, other bird of prey, and lots and lots of petting animals, as well as many more that I haven't mentioned. There are also plenty of play areas for kiddies, both inside and out to accommodate for all weather's. Currently there are 26 elephant statues scattered about the zoo park, with a tick sheet available for you to find them all, in relation to Elephant Parade that was inspired by an infant elephant called Mosha who now has the first elephant prosthetic leg following an injury at 7 months old when she stood on a landmine on the Burmese border. Plenty of places to buy refreshments, ice creams and food items with ample seating for all too. I like the fact that the coffee cups also have a recyclable paper lid, and I believe that the highstreet coffee shoos should follow their lead and stop using plastic lids. Personally, I felt it was good value for kiddies, but I feel that the pricing for adults is a little high as we are basically just chaperones for the youngsters.. However, we still had a great day out with plenty of walking especially in the maze that took us 43 minutes to complete, where we walked well in excess of 3km and had to answerultille questions about animals and nature to help is round the maze. There is evan a small farm shop...
Read moreCan't lie that we were a bit taken back at the cost of entry when we first arrived. Not being local and had done zero research. However for the 3 adults and 2 children £110 ish it was well worth it. If we were local then I would definitely be back. It was super quiet for the Easter holidays because it was wet, very, very rainy! This is definitely a benefit as pretty much all the animals were inside their enclosures. This meant that we could be within a few inches to a few feet of everything from snakes, meerkats to the elephants lions, rhinos and apes. To be able to look at a fully grown female lion 🦁 straight in the eyes, her being only a foot and a half away was a fantastic, breath taking experience. Definitely worth braving the rain to have the place pretty much to ourselves. The animals all looked happy and extremely well looked after. The different viewing points across the park was great 👍 didn't really benefit us today because the animals were inside however it would be a completely different story on a busy sunny day! Loved the elephant 🐘 splash area and the water falls in the lions and bears. I can imagine that they are great fun to water when the animals are playing in the summer heat. The indoor play area is great fun as well, an excellent mix of ages. We only had coffee there it wasn't the best we have ever had, we were impressed with the eco...
