This viewing point is good to see planes from overhead, it used to be really good before the instalment of solar panels blocking view of the airport and runway, the only way to get away from it is by driving to the bottom but there’s still no parking down there. Besides, the viewpoint is good enough to get a few good shots of the planes

Was a fantastic place to bring the kids to see the aircraft movements but now has a solar park between the lane and airfield blocking the view. Better than nothing but a real shame.

Limited view of the airfield. There is a real rubbish problem, the sides of the road are covered in litter, with rats running around in broad daylight.

Possitives- Great place to wait for a delayed flight when picking people up... Great fresh air, fun to watch planes take off and land

Negatives- Can be quite badly littered up there, (some individuals are obviously less conscientious of others or tge environment) could do with a bin perhaps. Also a small toilet would be helpful- when a flight could be delayed for several hours, there's only so long a bladder can hold out.

Fair warning ⚠️ Be aware that they do monitor speed as you go round the outside of tge Airport- especially if you see a police style vehicle near the perimeter inside the airport... just don't get yourself a set of shiny new points for speeding.

Generally takes about 10 to 15 minuets from viewpoint to the carparks.

Biggest plus- fun to watch planes Biggest neg - may need to pack some Huggies...

A friend of me smiled for the next 10 days after we have been here (Happy 30th B-day present) with him. We/he as German have not the chance to come so close to planes here (we live close to Münster AP but have (still) a secret spot for "doing a little bit Waynes world") Not an usual thing in general. It was good not to read "use of deadly force.. ", which i read at Area 51. We met spotters, had a good time with them, improved our english skills and made a person happy. Would come again after Coro (picnic than) but still can't understand why my friend made loads of pics. I prefer the action inside big airports. Special hobby, nothing is stupid (comment below) when it's fun. Guess you meant Corona with the...

I have been coming to this viewpoint for at least 30 years. Now completely ruined and destroyed by the airport putting up solar panels to block the view. I am sure it is not accidental that they have placed the panels so as to block almost all viewing from here. They have a huge airport area but chose to put the panels here. As for claiming to be "green" using the panels, if so please explain why the nearby once fields have now become car parks. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by Bristol Airport against people who simply want to relax and have somewhere to watch the planes from. The people that did this ought to be ashamed...
