Value for money for entry and my kids had a great time. However, the place is a little bit tired. The first activity when we entered was the hop over the stick when it was spinning round… the stick kept popping off. Whilst the kids weren’t fussed, adults noticed how tired the place was. There are a couple of activities where you have to walk on planks in a particular direction, one adult commented ‘Yay we have got to the end and tripped on this massive nail sticking out’. The staff on the activities could not have looked any more bored, and unwelcoming, the spinning stick and the inflatables in particular.
Also, having not been before we weren’t aware of how hilly it was, a few other people were in the same boat too and they had buggies to push round. There are a couple of activities where you need to have £1 for little white balls, we weren’t made aware of this on entry. There was a little machine to pop a £1 in close to the activities, but there was no balls. All activities that require a football or a basketball, they are all misshapen and/or flat.
We were told about the zip wire when we got there, I wanted to book my 11 & 10 year old on. The staff member started to tell me about the weight restriction, I tried to stop him as I had already read this. But he referred to my size, and the weight restriction, I was mortified!! My kids commented how rude he was.
So, for £10 entry it’s ok and the kids won’t notice the tired bits, beware of the hazards, the hills and some of the staff to be rude or not...
Read moreWe were disappointed during our visit today after seeing all the hype. Took my daughter who is 12 years old and autistic but loves inflatables/bouncy castles and is a thrill seeker so thought the zip wire would be perfect. Whilst I would say there is plenty to do, the website is misleading as it states Habberley Trail is appropriate for all ages, however all of the inflatables had a height restriction, so this is something that needs to be taken in to account when advertising as they are therefore not appropriate for all. Also I booked on extra for the zip wire and pre paid with my daughter next to me so the lady serving could see how tall she is, only to then be told when we got to the zip wire she was too big for the children’s and would need the adults, however this was not available today. I was told to come back another day when the adult zip wire was in working order, but I had already paid £21 to get in today and she couldn’t use any of the activities she would of mostly liked. Granted I did get a refund for the zip wire, but considering she couldn’t do any of the things she wanted I still feel out of pocket after really paying £21 to walk around a field. Also agree cleanliness of cafe needs to...
Read moreVisited on a warm sunny Sunday in May with my partner and our 2 pre-teen children (ages 12 and 11). We spent just over 4 hours here and our girls had a go at all the activities/play equipment (except the bouncing castles because they have a height restriction of 1.4m). My partner enjoyed himself equally and got stuck into everything too. The swings and slides were a big hit. Set in a lovely peaceful setting with plenty of green surroundings, the activities and play equipment is dotted around as you walk the trail. I also liked how there are water refill stations dotted about to fill up your drinks bottles. Only negatives: •I feel its priced a little high, especially for the adult tickets. •The cricket game was broken during our visit. •The one ball track needs sanding as the ball doesn't roll and consistently falls off the track (you can see where the join isn't smooth which is causing the issue). •A handful of unruly kids disrespecting the rules (which I respect is out of there control).
Overall, a nice family day out for younger and older children alike (especially if you fall lucky with nice weather). Worth a visit if your in the...
