Visited the course for the first time yesterday and I have to say I was impressed from the outset. Beautiful picturesque location and the course in fantastic condition. The club pro was great and very helpful but unfortunately we ran into a very disgruntled chef who marred the whole experience. The quality of food I cannot complain with but the attitude of the chef was less than acceptable. I have never been on a society to a golf course where the multiple option requires you all to eat the same thing. 10 people in an empty clubhouse surely is not to much for a qualified chef. Read moreI was really looking forward to playing Cradoc having travelled from Surrey. To be honest I was quite disappointed. There is amazing potential there with the views which are stunning. However, June should be getting towards peak condition for a course and it just really wasn’t very well looked after. The greens were a combination of rock solid and baron to long grass, consequently nothing ran true. Tee boxes were in very poor condition and we played off at least 2 mats (in June). The course is an enjoyable challenge but in present condition I can’t see why you would spend 3 times the money of somewhere...
Read moreOur society visits Cradoc annually as its always in good condition and a good test of golf. Now there’s a new pro and under new management the standards have gone to a whole new level. Made to feel so welcome and absolutely value your custom. From the pro to the kitchen and bar staff, they simply can’t do enough for you and if there is anything at all not up to the highest of standards they won’t accept it and will go above and beyond to make sure that it’s put right.
