I love Roselle for so many reasons! The nature, the birds, the easy option for time with family or by yourself. They do such a nice job of it! We have been coming here for years and highly recommend it. Seniors can take their school Photos here. There’s a climbing wall on the silo, and you can even climb up it on the stairs! There is a lookout at the top. It’s a great place to learn how to ride your bike or rollerskate. There is also a restroom available. I have appreciated that there are paved trails for people with different mobility needs. There are very few places in nature that have that! Excellent if you’re recovering from surgery, or just have other mobility needs in general. Everybody walking here is very friendly! Extended off paved trail areas as well. Sandhills...
Read moreVery nice park. Ample parking in paved marked stalls. The paved trails are well maintained and both circle around along the river and extend in a circle into the small grassy field to the west. Quite a bit of lowlands and marshy area separated from the river make an excellent bird sanctuary and there is a raised platform to observe nesting and feeding areas. We constantly meet people walking dogs and they maintain the cleanliness by picking up after the dogs. We get passed walking by Rollerbladers and bikers quite often with a cheerful "On the Left". The patrons appear to be polite and friendly for the most part. For the kids there is a climbing wall and various rocks and gym type stuff to climb around on as well as an old silo converted into a large observation tower you can...

Parking is easy, with well maintained lot. Options for hiking/walking/running on the paved area, where the snow is compacted. This location is perfect for getting your “ski legs” heading into the season, as well as a quick ski when you have limited time.
For what it is, it gets 5 stars. That is to say, it is not a place for advanced Nordic skiers looking for a challenge; but it is a perfect place for kicking off a season, an easy run, or a novice getting used to...
