This was our first time here and it's the best pumpkin patch for kids I've been to. They have a variety of activities for kids of all ages. I had 3 with me, ages 2, 7 and 14 and they all had fun, and so did mom and I. Well worth the 1.5 hour drive from the city.
The activities are spread out enough that it never felt crowded, and there were so many different things to do that one thing didn't get congested and the smaller kids didn't get run over by the bigger ones.
The kids absolutely loved the part of the hay ride where it stopped and let them off to go pick a pumpkin from the field.
Recommendations: I wished they offered some sort of transport for the elderly & people with mobility issues down to the big barn and back. If they have one it's not an obvious one. It is very hilly and there is only a gravel driveway to get down there and it's a pretty good distance. I saw several people with walkers and canes really struggling to get back up the hill from the barn to leave. There is a spot that's pretty steep to get up, especially on gravel. We just waited and got on the hay ride to take us back up to the front but the people with wheelchairs and canes couldn't get on it to do that.
Also on the hay ride, the driver could have made an announcement when they stopped at the front to tell people they were letting them off to go put their pumpkins in the car and then they could get back on to go back down to the barn. We didn't realize what was happening the first time and wound up walking all the way back down. They just stopped and people started getting off so we did too. If you have mobility issues that's a long walk to have to make...
Read moreThis was our second year to go and probably our last. The first year was fine, but his year was bad. As we were paying to enter you could hear the staff shouting at one another to not drive fast, then tires slipping on gravel as the JD Gator raced at top speed down to the barns. Okay, maybe it was because there was nobody on the path. Nope, we witnessed the same Gator racing at top speed up and down that path multiple times during our time there. I hope no kids end up hurt or worse. If that wasn't reason enough to not come back, which it is, we also got a healthy dose of dirt, noise, and exhaust fumes as the staff decided to use a 2 cycle leaf blower to blow out the bouncy house barns while families were in there trying to take video and photos of their kids. The staff seemed to follow the kids around with the leaf blower. At one point he actually blew air on a young girl from only a few feet away and scared her. I'm sure her parents didn't appreciate that. I could continue to type, but honestly I think the above is enough to highlight safety and family enjoyment is not a priority. We didn't stay as long as we would have. The experience was...
Read moreI was visiting family with my kids, in town from Colorado Springs for one day only. We called ahead to make sure it was ok to come since we'd be there about 20 min prior to closing at 2:00. Not only was it ok, we were welcomed at the entrance and encouraged to let our kids do all the activities. Not once did we feel rushed or anything less than valued. We left around 3:00 only because we wanted to let them close up, but my kids were having a blast playing and the man in charge was still helping my one year old and cheering her on at the bouncy house slide. This place is more than a business, it's a ministry. My son said his favorite part was "meeting that man" haha :) We will...
