I hate writing bad reviews, unfortunately when you go somewhere with a uncaring staff and you try talking to them about the incident that happened and they still don't care, I was left with no choice. Last Saturday my husband and I took my 2 year old granddaughter to the farm. Upon entering, my granddaughter and I walked over to the pond where all the ducks were walking to. As we walked over to the pond, I stepped on a small board with 3 nails in it. Trying to stay up beat and smiling so my grand daughter would not freak out, I hobbled to the picnic table that was right next to the young man stamping every ones hands as they entered. I took off my shoe and watched the blood flow freely to the ground. My husband alerted the young man and showed him the small board and ask if we could have some help. You know, some band aids, gauze, or any kind of first aid. The young man took the board and went to the ticket booth and gave it to the people in there and that was it. They didn't seem to care. All they wanted to do was continue collecting their money and that was it. So I continued sitting on the picnic table and continued to bleed on the ground. My husband went the ticket booth and spoke with the two people inside and still nothing. Finally, 2 women that were there from early education brought me their first aid kit and helped me out. After I got the bleeding to stop, I went to the ticket window myself and asked to speak to the farm manager. The woman in the booth said it was her. I told her what happened and said how dangerous that could of been if a little kid would of stepped on it and she looked at me like I was an idiot. All she said was "Wow. They raked this morning." I have tried to get in touch with the management team and was told the owner would be contacting me. Nothing. I just can't believe that a farm that has school field trips, camps, and over thousands of visitors every year does not have a first aid protocol. No incident report. Nothing! So anyone who goes to this farm be vary careful. Because even if something happens, the staff really don't care and only...
Read moreWe came in October during Harvest Festival time as a family outing with a 14 month old & 6 yr old along with another family with a 2 yr old.
It's a beautiful and fun place to visit with lots to do! It is a really wonderful animal experience as the animals are very used to people and calm. You can get up close and pet cows, sheep, ducks, chickens, horses & ponies, donkeys, and goats. They have pony & horse rides for $2 & you can get food for the ducks to feed them. Search for an egg in the hen house and literally walk amongst the chickens and pick one up.
There's a hay ride, pumpkin patch, 2 playground areas, a farm show, and a "magic show" during which the performer showed the kids how to do many of the tricks. The magician performer was excellent: clean humor, made the kids laugh many times, patient, and silly :) we've gone to 4 different farms with apple cider donuts & these were the best ones! They have other menu items for purchase also such as cider, hot chocolate, coffee, snacks, hot dogs, etc. With a huge picnic table dining area inside one of the barns.
I found out they are also open to the public the last weekend of each month from May-Sept. We'd...
Read moreAttended a field trip here with my daughter and her class, and overall it was fun. When we arrived we went on a hay ride through the property. Then surprise! A hike through the Enchanted Forest. The kids loved it, but if you want to work on your thighs then this is for you. Also there are alot of roots exposed so little people will get tripped up occasionally.
After the hayride we went to see the farm show, we're they talked about different animals and what products we get from them. The highlight of the show was the goat walking above the "stage" area.
Soon after we had lunch and they have there own little "store" where they sell cider, muffins, donuts, cookies etc. All reasonably priced.
At the end of it all the kids where allowed to choose a pumpkin...
