White Pines Golf Club — Attraction in Addison Township

Worst experience ever from a golf course and the sad thing is that I live 7 minutes from the damn place. Yesterday September 6 at 2pm I set a tee time at 5:50 pm for 4 people, two of which where my brother and our friend and my girlfriend and. My girlfriend chose to stay in the car due to the long walk to the pro shop so the rest of us check into our tee time perfectly on time, it was exactly 5:50 and we asked for two carts like we usually do and then a so called manager comes in and tells him he can’t ride even though he has gotten a cart before and to make matters worse left his id at home but that was his fault and was that he could grab a push cart which was fair in some sense, I did bring bring my Id and so did our friend but he was 17 but knowingly still payed, I payed for my girlfriend and I while they payed for there own push cart. Keep in mind we are amateur golfers, so we pay I go to the car with the cart like everyone does and I pick up my bags and my girlfriend and we start heading towards our first hole and long story short I played pretty good and was mainly waiting for everyone else to finish so if you thought going with 4 players is slow imagining 3 beginners and one amateur golfer. we ended our session a little after sunset it was about 7:30-7:35 at hole 16 now we had to walk around 1000+ yards of golf course to get towards the entrance. I was still In my cart just slowly creeping behind my brother and friend with the push cart just talking and walking and at this point it was pretty dark no sign of a ranger throughout this whole outing and I thought everything thing was fine running a little behind schedule but the golf course closes at 8 and it was 7:55 when I was able to see the lights of the clubhouse then a little after that I get told to hold it many times by a man at the cart return then proceeds to tell me “where the hell have you been it’s 8:02, sunset was at 7:23 today” the process to say “what where you doing” I so I responded with golfing in a confused manner because what else would I be doing on a golf course besides golfing. Then respond with “in the DARK how ARE YOU PLAYING IN THE DARK” in a disrespectful manner but I respond passive aggressively with there wasn’t a ranger to remind us or anything which is what I told him and he snaps back with “THEY ARE ALL GONE THEY WENT HOME” and is that my fault that he let them go home, I have never been to a course that didn’t have a ranger on the course near closing hours and regardless there wasn’t even a starter when i went to the first hole. after a bit of back-and-forth conversation he tells me that I didn’t pay for my girlfriend even though he was the person who told us we couldn’t take two carts and was there to see my transaction I even pulled up my bank statement to prove to this man that I payed fro my girlfriend and I which I found baffling and still was tell me I didn’t pay for her even after proof the proceded to threaten me to not come back to the corse again and that I wouldn’t be able to play if he where around even though he gave us a push cart and had no ranger on the course. I paid 56 dollars for decently maintained golf course with a bunch of potholes and big mouth managers and only the managers and this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with the managers last time I when I also got blamed for not paying and they all got an attitude and I again had proof but didn’t even bother looking. Worst golf course ever will not be coming back and will tell this story to other golfers about this absolute atrocity of golf management white pines golf club has and will not...

WPGC doesn't even deserve 1 star. Only 1 because their owner was responsive AFTER complaining... Here it goes..

We first went to WPGC and fell in love with the property. It is beautiful and spacious. Everything went smoothly when we signed our contract back in February. Our first coordinator, Katy, unfortunately left suddenly, and she was wonderful to work with. A woman named Paola Lopez took over when we met again in late March. Our initial meeting with her was very odd. She was very uptight, and anything we had discussed, she'd give us such an appalled/shocked look. Things that I had previously discussed with Katy, Paola would say "no absolutely not." I felt like I couldn't fully open up to her about my vision. Before we left, she also commented, "You're not one of those brides who will call me in the middle of the night, are you?" She also said not to contact her, but she will contact us. Ok... I shrugged it off and didn't think too much into it. My fiancé and I followed up in early May via email. 1 week goes by. Then we contact again after a week and a half. No contact. By the end of May, I'm panicking because we didn't hear ANYTHING from her at all. A month passed, and we're 4 months out now scrambling to find another venue. It took angry phone calls to the director of the park district and to the owner, Andrew, who showed good professionalism and actually got back to us. We canceled right away because there was no way I could work with that woman. She is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She says she has "years" of experience...yeah right! BEWARE, future brides and grooms! BeWARE!!!!!

Oh, and by the way, she never called back...

Last Saturday, Aug. 8, the course director Mike Camerano accused our group that 2 of our members did not pay their fees. He was very rude, arrogant, unprofessional and condescending. This guy ask for receipts. There were 28 of us in the group and he is saying that only 26 paid, (which was proven to be wrong because all of us paid and we send all our receipts/screenshots of credit card payments and emailed copies to Bensenville park district management.) Then he told us that he is kicking us out because of slow play. We reasoned that there were players ahead of us. But he was just so adamant! There were no fair warning issued, the mere fact that before our group there were other players that we are also waiting to finish! This guy did not refund our fees. We were so insulted that I loss sleep that night! This guy Mike Camerano should be disciplined for what he unfairly did. He even boasted that he is the course director and that he can answer any calls that will come to him (I don't even get what he meant by that)! This guy is not good for your business and is not...
