DAR John Strong Mansion Museum — Attraction in Addison

We have been camping at DAR here for 10 years. Never had any complaints about the place and it has always been a great place to camp. Until this year 2024. It’s only open on weekends during the summer, but, if you have a half-hour or so and like antiques and history, this is a good stop. You get a guided tour. On the day I stopped by there were two docents. One tour was wrapping up, and I was locked out until it started. Of all the cool stuff, my favorite was the self-closing door hinge.
