Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds — Attraction in Adrian

Some of the older rides I used to love as a kid were retired or just neglected as it seems because i went with my kid for the first time in a couple years and it wasn't as great of an experience as I would've hoped. We had fun but the people operating rides and such weren't all that friendly. Many of them kind of ignore you while they chitchat until they finally see you and eventually get around to letting you in. On a handful of rides we'd get on and they'd get pretty much full but then we'd find ourselves waiting for a few minutes while we saw ; again, a handful of the ride operators just chitchatting like there wasn't a dozen or more people who all overpaid for bracelets waiting in 90°+ heat. Broken bumper cars and a few other broken compartments on rides made me feel a little less sure of our safety too. Then the cleanliness as the day went on was a bit off-putting too. I still recall the last time we went and finding a used condom on the grass by the ferris wheel. I remember reporting it to a worker or guard and then seeing it there hours later still. My daughter paid to rent the 4H building on Saturday 11-23-24 for her father 52nd birthday party we clean the building better than what it was took out all the trash, wipe everything down, mopped the whole place, she went Monday to take the key and get her deposit. The lady didn’t give her deposit back because she said that there was a wet stop on the floor, and Sunday 11-24-24 she said she rented it out there was a group of people there eating and drinking. So tell me how is that my daughter problem maybe it was the group of people she rented it to on Sunday that didn’t leave a wet spot and how come they had a key to go in there the next day and have a gathering. I absolutely love this old old OLD fair! Been going for 50yrs now, and this year's event was so much fun. They had Big Rock Entertainment supplying the rides & Games. Which are more up to date with entertainment. But the food vendors were even better this year. Love the Grandstand events, the pie baking contest, look at all the beautifully raised livestock in and around our Lenawee County, and the steps our farmers are making to ensured that we and our families are safe and healthy.
