The hills were a sea of green and yellow. I must have missed the poppy's as I didn't see any. I saw hikers , I saw people on mountain bikes and I saw a young lady riding her horse. I'm assuming all 3 are encouraged. Also on the way up there I noticed the Fran Pavely Meadow. It was a small corner of the canyon but it had a grassy area with some probably very old Oak trees.
