Little Turtle Pond used to be a premier fishing spot for kids. Now, however, it seems as though it's been fished out. We used to catch everything from big bass to catfish, but the last couple times we went, the kids barely caught anything. It's supposed to be for kids ages 16 and under. Often, though, you will see adults fishing there, and since the pond allows catch and keep the big fish, they are mostly going. It's still a good place for kids to practice, though, just don't expect to catch much. It has also started to become over grown and needs some...

This park offers free fishing for children from 2-15 yrs old. This pond is stock by our military forces with rainbow trout, large mouth bass , bluegill and catfish. This park opens every year close to to first day of spring. The first week of fishing you'll catch many trout, they live in cooler waters and the waters very cool around the end of March. There's fishing tournaments with trophies...

A beautiful Summit County Metro Park that offers a bunch of different amenities to include restrooms. Running trails are a highlight of this park and the nature here is definitely serene with plenty of trees and water. I would certainly recommend a visit, especially for hiking or running. As a note, fishing is permitted but only for those under 15...

We go here A LOT! I think we go here just to forget we live in the city a block away.. the most convenient/refreshing place to go with my kids. Wether a fishing trip for them & or just exploring, the beauty never fails to amaze us & the wildlife is EVERYWHERE. Even after years of coming here we always find a way we haven’t gone & or something new to explore.

My kids look forward to the trout stockings every year. The lake is easily accessible after a short hike down a hill from the parking lot. Every year we see peregrine falcons and osprey taking Rainbow Trout out of the lake. It is a amazing sight to see. The warmer weather tends to make the trout harder to catch but don't let that dissuade you from trying.

Fun little place to come and walk while your kids fish. My only complaint is that it's youth only. 15 years old and under only, The game warden was walking around regularly. Lots of fresh Eldar berries and black berries around and many beautiful birds and turtles.
