Fort Morgan is the closest coastal Alabama can come to "Old Florida". Keva dunes is a great golf course. The fort it's self is great for history buffs. I would recommend the ferry to dolphin island, not for the sake of visiting dolphin island but rather the gardens. Sassy bass has gone down hill but the Beach Club has a few good spots to eat. Addtionaly the Beach Club is a great place to stay. Great pools. If your looking to get away from the masses of people in the summer this is where you want to be. Lots of good surf fishing in the area and tons of actual...

A couple of summers ago, after visiting the historic site we noticed a few cars parked along side a washed out road so we thought we would check it out. Beautiful beach! We spent an hour or so there and seen maybe 6 other people. If I had known about this spot earlier in our trip I would have planned to spend a few hours. The biting flies were relentless though. They attacked me after I took a quick swim. I would rather deal with the flies than the hordes of people...

Absolutely no tourist ā€œinfrastructureā€, road is mostly washed out and no coverings/chairs etc. There are also a few oil rigs in the view, BUT this means little to NO people! If you can bring your own stuff, it’s perfect, quiet and out of the way!

When tide is low, there is a long walking beach and small pools. Small amount of tide keeps the sand cool....

This place was low key, never crowded and great for families. We saw dolphins, (tiny) sharks, crabs and ate seafood and had a ball. Once a family set up camp near us. I gave them the stink eye and moved 15 yards down the beach. Take your sun umbrella, snorkel gear and corn hole, a BT speaker and overspend on a good chair... All set

Amazing beach because it is secluded and not busy. Lots of people fishing. Beach is good for hanging or fishing. Walk from the parking area is a little long but worth it.
