Very nice!! Great place to enjoy with that special someone in your life, the whole family (including your doggies) I assume all dogs should be on a leash, for protection of other people amd animals. But a great place for ya dog to get to go down to the creek and take them a cool, playful, bath/fun. Last time I went I actually went alone,, I needed some peaceful time alone and so Clarkson covered bridge is where I went. I brought a chair, sat it in th creek laid back and enjoyed. Amd that's not eeven covering a big part of it. Kiddos and adults usually LOVE walking across th historic covered bridge, as well as the other scenery that's there to take in. Very clean and peaceful place. I plan to take my small dog there today, weather committed of corse. All and all I give if an A++ Needles to say, if you happened to b close, stop bye if you haven't saw it. I wouldn't think you would be disappointed!! Maybe I'll c ya there someday.. 😉 ❤️ Also,, a question they asked me bere on maps was, would u buy tickets in advance. NO tickets needed, not that I've ever saw or heard of.. ❤️

Beautiful Bridge on land that is even more beautiful. The surrounding area is wooded and there’s a very nice little stream that runs under the bridge. When there hadn’t been much rain in the area the water is very low in the creek, but it’s still very nice. This is a great place to take photos. Once a few years ago my family and I had professional family photos done here and they turned out great! There is slot of posted information that is educational and informative such as “ where does my wastewater go”. This is a very nice Alabama day trip, for a beautiful sunny day. Keep in mind it’s not a large public attraction with a heavy flow of visitors, so you won’t find a restaurant or snack bar and you won’t need a tour guide, but it’s for sure worth the drive if you’re within an hour or less from the location. If you’re passing by the area you certainly should stop by and see the beautiful bridge and land and snap a few photos. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, this is right up your alley. They have a cabin rental available just check the website for more info.

We love visiting places that are listed on the National Register, Clarkson Covered Bridge. Located in southwest corner of Cullman County, the bridge is surrounded by forested walking trails, picnic area and information signs and placards. A lazy stream runs under the bridge, with an abundance of wildlife. A water wheel mill sits adjacent to the bridge and public restrooms that were fairly clean. We plan to go back in the spring with a picnic lunch. Grills sit on site, but they are in poor condition. We plan to carry a small portable grill and camp chairs. Put this on your list of stops if you are interested in historic covered bridges, wildlife, nature or just a quiet place to escape the daily rat race.
