PARKING Ample parking near falls entrance. Some parking would be better to have a truck.

HIKING It's a short (maybe 100yrds) and straight trail down to the creek and falls. At the end of the trail, you do have to step down some rocks to get to the bottom. It is a pretty rocky and rough area surrounding the creekbed, so you will need to walk carefully.

FALLS I would definitely recommend bringing some kind of water shoes as creekbed is very rocky. There is a tree swing that both adults and kids alike were using. I would be cautious with my children, there is large rocks to swing over. The pool below the falls is large enough to swim around and play in. It varies in depth from calf deep to 5+ ft deep in the center. Several people had brought tubes to float around in the pool area. The creek runs shallow down a gradual grade about 50yrds downstream to what looked to be a much deeper part of the creek. We went on a holiday and there were probably...

I wanted to give this a 5 Star for its beauty, fun for the whole family, and ease of access. However, the trash was ridiculous. It is the local dump. The locals could clean it up, and attract tourists. It is just that pretty. When we arrived, there was no where to sit our things because of the beer cans. Broken glass all around. At sunset, just when the falls were looking so beautiful, we were going to wade back in and swim to the falls one last time. We left though, because two men were up on the hill smoking something that smelled like a chemical in a beer can bong. I didn't want my children exposed to this. I guess the men thought they were 'high' enough we couldn't smell it. Sad that we couldn't enjoy our last stop home from summer vacation, because people don't care about others around them. Loving your neighbor can be as simple as taking your trash with you when you go. Beautiful place! Wish we lived close enough to help...

Great family friendly waterfalls. This is a great place to visit late summer for a swim. There is a rope you can swing from and jump into the water. Great fun!! You can also jump off the cliffs into the water but make sure you know where the rocks are first to avoid serious injury. The rocks are either very shallow or very deep. There is a hole in the rock at the top of the falls that is perfect for a little dip. Not much trails around so don't expect to go here for hiking. The wet rocks can be very slimmy and slippery so take extra caution. If you plan to walk around in the water I would highly recommend wearing water shoes. Flip-flops are not the best solution. Please educate everyone in your troupe to take their trash with them and not polute the nature experience with candy wrappers and broken...

Mardis Mills In Oneonta, AL - I could not escape the iPhone green dot and light flares today. So - I’m going to have fun with it. As for the falls - easy and pretty. It’s a short walk from the parking lot. It is a popular swim hole during the summer. @🧚‍♀️🐾Bella Rose⚘️ #alabama #nature #waterfall #fyp #Hiking
