Veterans Skatepark — Attraction in Alabaster

This park requires a Helmet and for each skater to fill out a liability waver, so you must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult. The gentleman on duty was very nice to me, improving my overall experience. The skate park is mostly street oriented; stairs, ledges, flatbars, C ledge, Manny pad drop off, hubbas and handrails. The "bowl" is more so a pool complete with pool coping, and is DIFFICULT to skate!!! Not your casual bowl session. In conclusion, if you want some perfect handrails and hubba down small, medium and large stairs then this your Park! Dennis is the best, all the older skaters are very respectful and helpful to the younger skaters. The reason no scooters, it's not a scooter park. Can your kid jump down 8 stairs, I doubt it. Great park! Admission is only two bucks on the weekend and a dollar during the week. The gentleman who works there is super chill and always makes skaters feel welcome!
