Garden House Vintage Market — Attraction in Alamo Township

I heard about Garden House Antiques on Instagram from a few bloggers I follow. I live an hour away but figured I'd come out for the sale they were having. They definitely have one or two booths with a beautiful selection. However, I wish they were more selective with the vendors. Some of the booths just seemed like junk you would find at a yard sale. When going to a place advertised as vintage or antique I don't want to find booths with a random mix of modern day clothes from mall stores and costume jewelry. I would appreciate it more if all of the booths were cohesive and in line with what they're aiming to be. At the very least I feel like they should find a more accurate way to describe their aesthetic and what they carry. I did buy a few items, that were overpriced and definitely not vintage. I do like the items I bought but it was not worth the hour it took to drive there. I just felt obligated to buy something so the trip wouldn't have been a complete waste of time. I will NEVER go back there the service was horrible. I am black and I was followed around the store the WHOLE time I was there. The man who works there asked me three times if I was done, which I proceeded to tell him no. The fourth time he asked me if I was going to buy what I had in my hands, which I told him yes and I was not done. When I went to pay with the credit card they told me I needed an ID when my signature was clearly on the card. I don’t care if your black, white, or purple, I suggest not supporting...

I love this place. My daughters and I go here periodically to look at new stock and it seems we're never disappointed. We might only get 1 item, but it's something that fits in our home and we really enjoy. Today I got a pair of beautiful oversized bowl type mugs and a couple local soap and scent creations.
