As a first time, I went to the Ice rink with the experience as an ice rink manager in my past. The fees were nice but that's where the good experience ended. Upon checking in, I had to fill out a membership form that was overly invasive in the questions asked. Information regarding my gender identity or that of my kids should have no bearing on us being able to make use of a publicly funded facility. The skates checked out to us were dangerously dull. The blades had no concave sharp edge to them at all and were in-fact rounded out. With my experience, even dulled skates from recent usage should have given me no problem kicking off. With the three birthday parties and multiple little children around, not having the ability to stop is just asking for an ambulance trip. With that, my kids and I turned in the skates and asked for a refund. Knowing that not even 15 minutes earlier I paid in cash, this should have been no problem. Instead the ditz at the counter said that I would have to fill out a refund ticket and they would need my bank card information to credit it back. I JUST PAID CASH!!!! It was sitting in the drawer. This is by far the worst Ice rink I have ever been to and highly recommend that others do not go. Save your time, your money, and your frustration and find a better...
Read moreI was on a cycling trip and stopped to get a shower. I had a small amount of wet laundry from the laundromat so on the side of the building out of sight of the parking area I used my parachute cord to create a clothes line between two pillars and hung up my clothes to dry. After the shower I come out to find someone had CUT down my cord and put my still wet clothes in a trash bag. I used that cord to hang food from tree branches in bear country and if I knotted it back together it would get stuck up in a tree branch so basically they ruined my cord instead of untying it. Also I wore my bike helmet into the building so they could have easily located me and told me to take it down myself. I spoke to two staff members, including the manager and neither one of them actually apologized for destroying my property. thanks for NUTHIN...
