Read moreThey have an excellent exhibition of the mammals that you’ll be able to see in the arctic at this visitor center. I strongly recommend attending the 8pm presentation to get a deeper dive into the animals, plants and the geography of the arctic.
Both Steve and Carlos are fantastic rangers and presenters that are here to give you vivid and engaging presentations for visitors of all ages. I personally attended the Witch’s Broom presentation by Steve and the Raptors of the Arctic presentation by Carlos, two days in a row. I learned a ton and would love to revisit the center again...
Read moreGreat staff in a lovely but remote location! If you are in Coldfoot, be sure to visit them! The area is beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. There is a good gift shop here and lots of displays to see. Clean restrooms are always nice to have available and you can find some here! There is a trail around the center that is worth walking. Since the location along the Dalton Highway in Alaska is so remote, this is not one of the more visited centers of its kind, but if you travel through Coldfoot, make sure you stop...
