Best kept campground near Haines! Clean and well kept sites, clean bathrooms. Sites are mostly pull through with some back in. Road can be a bit rough but I had no problems at all with my 27' RV. Nice hikes and forested area nearby. Boat launch nearby and some good swimming if you don't mind some colder water. I was surprised but the water had very little salt from the ocean. Campground hosts were friendly and welcoming...I am looking forward to returning next year!

The road getting in is ROUGH. But a beautiful campground and surrounding area. One of the volunteers was very helpful and informative. Pictured is a view from the park. Wish I had additional time to have hiked and such but having an opportunity to be there was so worth it.

Nice park, great hosts and super clean bathrooms! The only thing I would say is an awful lot of people drive thru the campground (fast)! Beautiful place 😎

The road getting in is ROUGH. But a beautiful campground and surrounding area. One of the volunteers was very helpful and informative. Pictured is a view from the park. Wish I had additional time to have hiked and such but having an opportunity to be there was so worth it.

Not for big rigs. Tight turns, pull throughs barely large enough for my 24 footer with a 15 foot utility trailer. Wooded. No cell coverage at the campground, but if you walk about 300 feet toward the boat ramp area there's coverage. Great location for experienced kayakers, but launch is far enough from the campground that you have to...

August 2024: Alaska Parks should be ashamed! They should either close this campground or install a large sign up top that says "ROAD NOT MAINTAINED. ROAD NOT SUITABLE FOR RVS." Luckily I took my toad down to check it out before coming out with my RV. Only by driving on the 1/3 of the road that is for downhill traffic can...
