_ Jhave only been to Alaska. one time. xport. a. _ docont. amount. of time in the Chugachrnational Forest. It is huge. did. a. 19 mile. niwon. hapting / Rooting tip down the rivet which wod an. amarging time. 2pJhad unlimited. monoy and. could. do anything wanted, I would loot. down. this vivek - fort a day. It is beautiful. 'had had launch unded. a. thae with three cagles just hanging out. lots ol, lishing, lots of wild Rije, Beautiful. sky, beautiful erator. . . _ My only complaint. is that. overything is. codan. opaot, it takes houis to get to everything, but thon agains, that. maaybe a. plus - for. some people. Jhats not the fault. of this place. 5 stars...

I have only been to Alaska one time. I spent a decent amount of time in the Chugach national Forest. It is huge. I did a 19 mile river rafting / floating trip down the river which was an amazing time. If I had unlimited money and could do anything I wanted, I would float down this river for a day. It is beautiful. I've had lunch under a tree with three eagles just hanging out. Lots of fishing, lots of wild life, beautiful sky, beautiful water.

My only complaint is that everything is so far apart, it takes hours to get to everything, but then again, that may be a plus for some people. That's not the fault of this place. 5 stars...

We went through the Chugach National Forest for the Portage Glacier Cruise and a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Our first stop was at the Anchorage Overlook where you can seethe whole city of Anchorage below the tall mountains.

Along the highway you can see bear and moose as well as different seabirds. If you look high up in the mountains you can sometimes see Dali Sheep.

Did not have time for any hiking on this trip but there are many hiking trails in the area. Would love to come back and do some...
