(update) After talking to the manager of the activity center, we got the refund for the aurora tour. He also listen to our complaint about the Ice Museum Tour and promised to bring this feedback to his staff. This 1-star review is for the activity center staff. Don’t buy any tickets from them. When you buy tickets from them, they assume you know everything and they hide information from you. (1) We bought the ice museum tickets from them. They didn’t include the drinks on our tickets. They didn’t mention anything about the drinks when we purchased the tickets. Turns out, if you didn’t pre order the drinks when you purchased the tickets, the tour guide/bar tender couldn’t accept cash payment from you and therefore cannot serve you drinks, even though he is able to serve “refills” (people who pre ordered the drinks can pay $10 for one additional drink). In addition, he also didn’t mention that we had to check in at the activity center, not at the gate of the museum. We only found it out when we waited at the gate of the museum by ourselves, in front of a locked door, confused. (2) when we purchased the aurora tour ticket at the counter, they didn’t tell us that, to receive the refund, we had to cancel 24 hours before the tour. Maybe this is mentioned if you book online, but when booking from the counter, they made no mention of it. They even told us that we could cancel the next morning. the next morning, when we went to cancel the tour, they told us we couldn’t get a refund. And then they pointed us to a piece of paper on the counter stating their cancelation policy, together with many other notices and ads. They never pointed us to read the cancellation policy when we purchased the ticket, and what was worse, they misled us to think we could cancel the next day, which was a lie.
We purchased tickets for two tours from them, and both of them were full of bad surprises. They are incompetent and shouldn’t be given any jobs that directly interact with any customers.
We hope you don’t have to experience what we...
Read moreTook the Ice Museum tour, cool sculptures and Appletini but fairly small and short for $15/adult and $10 each kid plus $15 for cocktail but the ice glass you can keep and break for good luck. The Geothermal Energy and Greenhouse tour was great and free. They grow much of their veggies via hydroponics and serve directly in the restaurant. Flower gardens outside were...
Read moreGreat experience all around! We did the snowmobiling, dogsledding, aurora tour, ice museum, and geothermal tour. All fun. The restaurant food was good, but will require some patience. The restaurant staff is clearly overworked as we stayed here for 4 days and I saw almost all of them working from breakfast through dinner in to the...
