You end up parking too close to it and the glacier is behind an outcrop of rocks. Much better views from highway. Everywhere you look there were $5 parking signs.

It did have a free spotting scope to look up at the portion of the glacier you could still see. They had a very well done model of the surrounding area and a covered you display area explaining the geography of the area. A few hiking trails were there that went closer to the glacier, but I didn’t go on any so cannot say how those were. Bathrooms were pretty clean, and also had signs all over them about various do’s and don’ts. It is a community project based area, so went and paid the $5 for a...

Prepare before you go there are two different Trails not terribly well signed which one leads to the glacier and which one is a hike up the morraine. If you hike The morrain it's challenging but absolutely worth it no matter how far you're willing to go. Be very prepared. Breathaking views. Incidentally the glacier Trail (to the toe of the glacier) is the one that takes off from the wooden Lookout. a phenomenal experience and even just from the lookout you get an authentic view that is hard to rival. Other than an outhouse there are no...

We got here pretty late. We were the only car in the parking lot. It was a rainy cold day. It's a nice stop to get out and stretch along the highway. There is a 5 dollar fee to park. There is a short loop trail down to the lake with a good view of the glacier. The trail is paved and easy to walk. There are many signs explaining the area and the glacier. A few restrooms available to use which were clean and...

Prepare nice hiking shoes and raining coat before you go, there are two different Trails right one leads down and up a little bit the glacier and left one is a hike up the moraine until you touch the snow and play with it . If you hike The morrain it's challenging but absolutely worth it no matter how far you're willing to go. Be very prepared. Breathtaking views you will not forget.
