STAY AWAY!!!! We rented this hall for a large wedding. When we got there Friday for set up, they had maintanence working on the women's restroom toilets. Candi, the building manager, was there saying how the previous party put napkins in the toilets and that's why they toilets were backed up. However, the stalls are separate from the sinks/napkins area. I cannot imagine a lady coming out of the stall, avoiding the toilet tissue that's already in the stall, to go out and get napkins to wipe. First, who wants to wipe with hard napkins, when there is tissue in the stalls. Well anyway, that cant be the issue, because in the middle of our event, ALL of the womens toilets were full and about to overflow, after they just had someone "FIX" it the day before. Sure enough, Candi comes in the restroom and says the guest were putting napkins in the toilets again. That just doesnt make any type of sense. All of the stalls had toilet tissue, there were NO napkins in the toilets that were overflowing. The issue is they have bad plumbing. The building is OLD and probably needs to replace something.
Then the manager lady was micro-managing our wedding party during set up. No one asked her for her help. She was way too involved. Most wedding parties already have a plan on what they want to do. She kept nit picking about the walls being freshly painted. We are all adults, we know how to beat up on the walls. We had chairs close to walls, sure enough, she would come out like a thief in the night, saying watch the walls. I mean it was NON STOP. She had an opinion about our balloons, how many chairs we put to a table, the list goes on..... Random family would ask who this lady was that kept showing up. She would sit in her office with the door open and just watch us set up. On the day of the wedding, she was there too like a spy lol. It was ridiculous. I had my wedding at a different venue and NEVER once did I see the building manager over our shoulders.
There isnt a lot of room for parking either. And Candi had the nerve to book a baby shower at the SAME time as the wedding. She didnt tell the bride until 4 days before the wedding that there would also be a baby shower. By her double booking, our wedding party had to get dressed in bathroom instead of the extra room that we were told in the beginning.
The hall turned out beautiful after it was all said and done, other than the TOILETS being GROSS for the wedding guest! I would rent this building with...
Read moreSo I am the building managers grandson. I would like to note on one of the reviews that the window unit in her office does not work. It only worked twice. I remember when it was put in. It wasn’t the correct size they had to put multiple things of seals on it, the motor also and the compressor seem to always be seized up and the AC outside for the main room Aka the bingo room has never worked that well. Please also understand that that building is over 40-50- 60 years old. The toilets on the other hand, people did used to put napkins and stuff down the toilets the day that I guess that bride had a wedding there and she was supposed to get dressed in the other room. The other two owners scheduled a party in that small room without my grandmother, knowing, therefore the bride had to get changed in the bathroom my Grandy was very much so pissed about the situation so much that she looked at the two owners and told them that if they do it again that they will most likely be drop kicked to the ground because they were paying some good money I guess that day also please understand the walls were never replaced. You can take your knuckle and or your finger and you can give some strength into it and poke a hole in that wall I get you guys are very much so grown adults, but just please understand that the Indians don’t really spend their money wisely, she owned a flower shop for multiple years and so her nagging about where to put things doesn’t really help her. I would like to also state that she doesn’t take attitude very lightly and the people coming in the fix the toilets on that day of a party or some sort was ticked off really bad and she told the people that they either hurry up or they’re not getting paid So that is pretty much her and that she wants things done right then and...
