My wife & I spent 4 nights in North Conway for our 44th Wedding Anniversary and took a very scenic ride over the Kancamangus Highway. We stopped at the Rocky Gorge Scenic Area this is the place to stop while traveling through the area. Beautiful we sat on the rocks above the Gorge oh so so peaceful the sun shining, the noise of the water rushing pass, amazing where did all that stress go? Very clean and well manicured nice to see and enjoy. Easy in & out parking, Handicap Parking, Has a clean Restroom/Outhouse style. Paved pathway to the Gorge from parking lot for walking, and for like myself Disabled for walkers and wheelchairs. A bridge to cross the Gorge for a short hike to a pond not Handicap Accessible though nice safe bridge to stand on and admire the view of the Rocky Gorge /...

Pack a picnic and...

Found a great spot to leave towels coolers, etc that had shade and the most wonderful breeze. The pools are deep or not depending on where you stand. Lots of waterfalls to sit in, yes sit in while the water massages your shoulders and back. It's a little bit oh heaven. Oh, if you enter the Kanc Hwy from the Conway side, stop in the ranger station to get your parking pass for $5, no lines here like we saw at the Gorge. It's good for multiple sites along the Kanc. Enjoy the cool water & have...
