Safe Harbor Wisdom Dock — Attraction in Albany

My family and I have gone to Wisdom Dock for about the last 4 or 5 years for long weekend houseboat trips. At first it was great. Nice people, clean boats, willingness to help and make things right. Even gave us about 12 free bags of ice when their cooler was found not to close properly and was missing the drain plug. This year? Very rude workers. We had a boater get lost on the lake. Alone in a small john boat. Could NOT contact the dock because the radio did not work. The one that was lost contacted a worker at wisdom dock and asked the to please call his wife on her cell (that did work) and they didn't even bother with it. Acted like they had no idea what was going on. Got smart with his wife and said " we can't man this place 24/7". Well, if you have boats out of the dock, you should be able to have someone on standby for any emergencies. They refuse to give us any contact information for the owners. Made us feel like we were bothering them. Each year we saw the houseboats deteriorating. But we kept going back because up until this year the people were great. Even the spout on the coffee pot was cracked. So I guess it is back to Lake Cumberland from now on. Or another dock on Dale Hollow. Love the lake. Just need service we can count on from people that...

We have stayed with Wisdom Dock in the floating hotel multiple times since 2021. We just left after a week’s vacation and are sad to say we probably won’t be coming back. We love the convenience of having your boat slip right at your room and used to love sitting on the covered dock enjoying views of the lake. It was nice enough that we overlooked the inconveniences of the tiny refrigerator in our room and having to keeping food in coolers. The rooms are big enough to have a larger refrigerator!! Do better Safe Harbor! This trip was so disappointing as the dock was overridden with spiders and spider webs. In the past, we would see staff cleaning around the dock but none of that this trip. We were constantly killing spiders in our room- our son woke up to one crawling on his face and my husband walked into a spider web in the bathroom this morning. Also- the amount of marijuana we have witnessed being smoked at the dock (inside and outside) of rooms over the last few years is ridiculous and totally ignored by staff walking right by them. The smell was so strong a couple of evenings, we had to go back in our room , unable to enjoy our lake views. In closing, if you like spiders and Marijuana, choose Safe Harbor...

I went up to Wisdom dock to visit some friends that had rented a houseboat. Well they were stuck at the dock because thier rental houseboat broke down on the water and when they got it beached and got tied up(using the boat they had with them) to propel the houseboat. They found that the generator wouldn't stay running without overheating and shutting down. So they had to spend the whole week at the dock, with no refund or discount at all. The manager said we will take the fuel charge off your bill. Id hope so, considering they never got to use the boat. So during my short visit (3 hours) a Wisdom dock employee was driving a seperate rental boat and lost control and hit my ski boat. It damaged both boats, I find the manager and walk him out to the dock. Show him the damage and he laughed. He said " I thought there was gonna be a hole in the side of your boat, thats not too bad" My boat now has a smashed rub rail and a nice size gouge in the fiberglass. This dock is in need of new managment real bad. His final responce was "your lawyer should be smart enough to figure out how to contact us" and he walked away. So if you can stay away from...
