I've been going to Willow Grove Marina for over 15yrs. I absolutely love that dock!! Each & every time we visit there, we are ALWAYS treated like royalty by the staff & owners! You can tell they're truly genuine too & not faking it. I have the utmost love & respect for them, especially for Mickey (owner & mgr)!! I always see him there, working his tail off right along with his staff members. He's always right there if an issue arises or a question needs answered. Heck, 10 yrs ago, I pulled up to the dock to get gas and he said "you need to call home". That baffled me so I questioned him on why he said that. He says "your boat tag states you're from Indiana. A tornado hit all thru there an hour ago".... sure enough, I call home to my dog sitter saying my house was slightly damaged from the tornado and needed some insight on what to do. I would of never called home if it wasn't for Mickey. Then today, I was at the dock & asked Mickey a question about a minor issue I had with my boat. I expected him to tell me what he thinks the issue might be but to my surprise.... he jumped down in my engine, then went to grab a part from his shop & fixed it within minutes at no charge!! God love him! I was in awe!! By NO means was I looking for a "freebie" or a handout! Not at all!! I just wanted to pick his brain on what he thought my issue might be. But being the AWESOME MAN that he is, he fixed it! And while he's fixing my boat, his staff is airing up my tube & rafts for me! Wow, wow, WOW... That's what I mean by being treated like royalty! And it's like that EVERY TIME I visit there. Simply amazing!! I am so blessed, thankful, grateful & appreciative for Willow Grove! They will always have my utmost respect, business & support. I hope karma does them well and they get all the love, health, wealth & prosperity they need, want & deserve! Awesome people deserve awesome lives. And Willow Grove is definitely awesome!! Don't take my word for it..... Go check it out for yourself. You won't be...
Read moreWe had an excellent experience with the people at Willow Grove. I had booked one of the primitive campsites nearby with my son, but not owning a boat was going to make it difficult to get there, to say the least. I contacted Willow Grove and they were happy to take us there and pick us up, for a very reasonable amount too I should add. We arrived on the Sunday before Memorial Day and the place was packed - Mike, the manager I had been speaking with, could easily have said sorry we're too busy you will need to wait and we could have been hanging about there all day. But he didn't, he immediately arranged for our boat and arranged for help with packing it. When it rained our last day he even arranged for the boat to pick us up an hour and a half early (I phoned him at 7am and he picked up!) which we were very grateful for. As a non-boat owner you often expect to be treated as a second or third class citizen at marinas, but that was certainly not the case at Willow Grove and I am very grateful to Mike and his team for the warm welcome and constant help we received. So all in all, I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. Now, I wonder if anyone has handed in my prescription...
Read morePretty much all the marinas at Dale Hollow are super nice. But Willow Grove was wonderful. Staff was nice and food was good. We are staying at Lilly Dale campground and it was only a short 10 min drive. Which is great considering there isn’t a grocery store nearby. This marina does have the a few basics. Store- food, beer, boat supplies, fishing stuff, nice quality souvenir clothes and more. Also snack items and ice cream. Restaurant- served counter style. They have an outdoor covered patio with tables large enough to fit very large groups of people together. My oldest son and youngest shared a Hunts Brothers pizza which was made to order which was 12” and 8 slices. They both got super full, which says a lot for my 6’5” man child oldest. I got the redneck nachos loaded which has bbq as the meat. It was good, but chips were stale, but still had a decent taste. Next time I will try the pizza too as this seems to be the item everyone was getting while we were there. Fountain drinks are free refill. Value wise it’s what you would expect for a marina. For 1 pizza, redneck nachos and 3 drinks it...
