Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was so peaceful. Most of the animals were out or laying within view. The bathrooms were clean. The habitats were clean. A few other people/ families but not over crowded. Location: near the mall area but easy to get to using GPS. Environment: clean, no foul smells. Walkways were clear. The routes had labeled signs for restrooms, animal locations, and exits. The entire place is fairly shaded and comfortable. The animals seemed calm and relaxed- napping, sitting and looking around, or playing with each other. Pricing: about $7 for adults. Animals: lions, leopards, mountain lion, fennec fox, wolves, 2 types of bears, eagles, owl, many monkeys, many birds, peacocks that roam the park, anteater, deer, koi fish, alligators, turtles, ducks, flamingos, sloth, otters, raccoons, hogs, capybara, tapir, porcupine, tri-colored squirrel, kangaroo, iguana, snakes, frogs, and many many more. Animals are listed on their website. They do not have elephants, zebra, hippos, rhinos, or giraffes as of 12.14.2021; they did not have tigers when we went. Unfortunately their white and orange tigers passed away in 2021. They may get other tigers eventually, but for now there is a memorial for their long-term tigers at the tiger area. Staff: didn't talk to any other than the person at the ticket counter. They seem nice and attentive to the animals. The Train conductor was friendly. Other: they do have some on-going projects as of Dec 2021. We saw that they are preparing to install a parakeet exhibit near the kangaroos (towards the end of the park). Overall, it's worth a visit. It's pretty affordable and there are plenty of animals to see. It took us about 2-3 hours to casually walk through, take photos and take our time with each animal. It was a relaxing visit and we will for sure return!

So beyond what I was expecting!! I thought this place was going to be small but wow! Prices are great and when you get in there and see how much there is, it was really impressive. I love the set up, the animal habitats, and the friendliness of the staff. It was so super hot so some animals either weren't out or were hiding from the heat, which is completely understandable, but we still saw the vast majority of the animals. I LOVED how they had fans and other cooling measures in place to keep the animals as comfortable as possible in this heat. We visited every animal and they all looked happy and healthy to us. We did the story walk and completed the survey and got to pick out free books from the gift shop. The cafe and the gift shop were both adorable with reasonable prices and the train was a cute little trip through the shade and around the zoo. We had 2 adults and 3 teens in our group and absolutely loved it so we highly recommend it! And I finally got to see a Gator in Louisiana! 😍😁

We went with our granddaughter on her field trip. We had such an amazing trip. The exhibits are set up and cared for very well. Each enclosure has information signs. We heard children throughout the zoo reading them and it made smile. Highly recommend. Suggestions: 1. Stock enough water so as you never run out. 2. Would love to see more comfortable benches around the entire zoo. I love to sit a while and watch the animals or just relax and take in the sounds. 3. Something needs to be added to the bear enclosure. Myself and other parents kept having mini heart attacks by other children not supervised climbing the rail and nearly flipping over. Sadly, this is more for the zoo and animals protection. 4. Also add a “fun, don’t let this be you” video that basically states zoo rules; climbing, running, etc. Will definitely keep coming back!!

I had an amazing time I went during October on a Sunday or Saturday, so there were a lot of Halloween decorations. It is kind of confusing to navigate my family, and I passed the same exhibits multiple times, just trying to get around to new ones. It is a little bit small for a zoo, but overall, I would say it's a nice little zoo. There were not many people when I went idk if it's always like that but if it is than it would be a great place to go to calm down and be at peace for a little bit, get away from the world for a little bit. The animals did seem a little bit hungry and restless, but that may be because we went pretty early. It's very peaceful there, and I would even go alone just to get away. Also very kid friendly except for that the little tram train thing is a bit loud. There are definitely better zoos, though.

Took two 8 yr old grandchildren on a Sunday and two 6 yr olds with an 11 yr old on the following Wednesday. We all had a great time. The animals all appeared happy, healthy, very funny and comfortable with being the star in a video we took for our memories. Oh, and ALL ABOARD, we took the (15 min?) train ride around the zoo. Although we didn't see much but the outer part of the zoo, it was nice to sit and rest for awhile. (grandparents will understand this part) The park bathrooms were clean & air conditioned. We took a rest halfway and cooled down with various flavored snow cone slushies that were greatly appreciated during the hot days we visited in July 2018. Everyone was courteous. We will be back again. Thank you, Alexandria Zoo!
