Brophy Park is a hidden gem that truly offers something for everyone. The clean and inviting beach is perfect for both swimming and kayaking. Right next to the beach, there's a convenient shower faucet for rinsing off after you've enjoyed your time in the lake. The recreational park area is meticulously maintained and features picnic benches for ideal family gatherings. Adding to its family-friendly atmosphere, every bathroom is a family restroom equipped with individual stalls and a baby changing station, ensuring a comfortable experience for families with young children. For electric vehicle owners, the park thoughtfully provides two EV charging stations, making it a forward-thinking and eco-friendly destination. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the trail map available at the visitor center, perfect for biking and potentially cross-country skiing adventures. Anglers won't be disappointed with the fishing dock, as the lake by the dock is teeming with crappies and sunfishes. In summary, Brophy Park is a versatile and accommodating destination for families, nature lovers, and adventure seekers. Highly recommended!

AWESOME. Okay I'm from Florida, just moved here, and was looking for a fun free activity. This is where it's at. First time and it's snowy (well, icy) but still a great time sledding and attempting to practice snowboarding. Excellent hills. It looks like there are some good trails to walk, and other trails to snowmobile and cross country ski. There is a Pick Up After Your Pooch station, so this park is dog friendly as far as we could tell! (Following any appropriate leash laws). The fire pit looks amazing, with wood next to it, I would imagine it would be courtesy to bring some/take some but I'm not sure how that works. Super fun place, the playground looked AMAZING. Right by the lake. Ice skating area. And I'm sure plenty more we didn't see. It looked like there was an additional groomed hill, but it looked steeper so us Floridians stuck with the other one.

We walked the grass trails but wished we had brought our mountain bikes to try out the well designed mountain bike trails. This park is also a spot along the Central Lakes Trail. The playground was huge with some fun challenges for my 10 year old. The beach was fine and the water was clear but there were a lot of weeds in the swimming area. The restrooms/Visitor Center were clean. We would've liked if they had an indoor shower to wash up after our hike and swim but they did have an outdoor shower to rinse off under.
