Lake Le Homme Dieu Beach — Attraction in Alexandria

This place is great for vacations we went on July 4th didn't catch any fish we had to go to a separate site to catch fish because due to all the boats on the lake still very nice peaceful everybody there was very nice the house that we slept in was very nice kept very clean no bugs nothing like that there's a gas station right up the street everything else is about 40 minutes away which is actually pretty nice cuz you're getting out of the city and just...

Took my 3, young children here to cool off on a Monday afternoon. No lifeguard on duty, which is fine because I watch them. So many weeds and dead fish on the shore. Smelled pretty fishy, which isn't that big of a deal. The thing I did find disappointing though, were the swearing teenagers, smokers sitting in their cars using it as a rest stop, and there was a lot of garbage in the sand. Cute little beach with limited parking. Small concession stand with drinks, snacks, and ice cream treats. Picnic tables available but fill up fast. Family friendly and a nice spot to cool off...
