Stonehouse Settlement Winery — Attraction in Alexandria

Absolutely loved this place. The couple that owns it has a unique connection to this one time 2 room school house turned winery. The owner’s father attended this little schoolhouse as a child…they shared the pictures of him standing on the front steps in 1930’s. The daughter of the owners, Amanda, was so delightful and informative about the history of the place and how it was her parent’s dream to open a winery. Not far off the highway, and an absolute gem! You don't find places like this often anymore. Ran by such a wonderful group of people that put their heart into the place, who treat their customers like family. And WOW was the food amazing! The pretzel bites were like nothing I've had before, SO good! The Reuben was just as impressive, very tender and flavorful. We live a good distance away in IN, but we will happily be making the drive back any chance we get. I can't recommend this...

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine at Stonehouse. Unique building with a bit of history. Friendly owners that were very engaging with the customers. A good place to chill with a glass, a bottle or a flight of wine. More than just wine available. A small bite food menu was available when we visited.
