Is a good place to get out and go for walks/jog, bike, disc golf and some fishing. maybe just go sit and relax if you can find a spot to relax. Of course this all depends on how many people are already there. I like to just find a quiet place to sit n fish either by myself or with family and/or friends. In order for the fishing to be any good you got to stay on top of stocking dates and times as most people from all over end up overfishing a lot of these areas I've gotten lucky and caught some of the stragglers over the last few years but nothing great. Stockings need to be healthier sized fish and larger quantities and frequency of stockings with the amount of people that come to fish these waters needs a great increase. Has fly-fishing area which I don't agree with all waters should be for any legal licensed fisher and I've heard over the years that stretch gets the nicest fish stocked. Overall Parkway is not a bad place if you're just looking to get outside n relax but depending on what your trying to do here could determine the outcome you desire. I've had parents with kids throw large rocks right were I'm at fishing or allowing there dog(s) to run into the water were I currently have a line in the water. I'm clearly visible and yet they do as they please. Oh and the swimmers n picnics people have just ruins the peacefulness one may desire like I do. Im talking loud music family of 6 grilling which I'm ok with music if respectfully played never is and location of swimming always in good holes or stretches were you would want to fish. Parkway is crowded I try to stay away as I mostly fish ESPECIALLY THE OPENING DAY OF TROUT and people can be inconsiderate towards you and what your doing. I go here if im not looking to plan something major and wanna stay close to home or just tired of being home but I can't say these areas are a desire for myself when I wanna fish if I can get somewhere else I usually try to its not what it's made out to be average to me at best. Recommend if you can get or find somewhere you would rather go do it because you never know what you'll get going here flip a coin 50/50 you will actually have a...

I grew up over here a place my sister and I use to goto years ago, fish hatchery is right up the way, walking distance. I lost my sister to Covid and it was a place for me to go and remember our good times together after crying all morning. I cried, I laughed, I sighed, but most of all I smiled cause I knew she was there with me. I miss and love my sister dearly, she taught me everything from driving to things I had no business doing and living each day as if it's your last. My sister was fighter, she beat cancer, she beat things I never knew about, but this was one thing she could not beat, and I am so mad inside because I never got to say goodbye! I love you sis... I realize today here at our spot, that it's not goodbye... It's I'll see ya later, your free, your home with the rest of the family. Your Blessed now. I have one more angel...

Lehigh Parkway has always been one of my favorite parks in Allentown. I'm a water-lover, and the "Little Lehigh" river runs through the park, so that's a big draw for me. There are beautiful willow trees that line the river with their graceful branches. The park has wide, grassy expanses for playing Frisbee, walking paths, and, if it's still in use as it was in the 1970's and 80's, a horseback riding trail. I've enjoyed painting and writing here over the years. At dusk, it's a treat to see deer blending in with the surroundings. I've also enjoyed an occasional picnic here, but if you do, PLEASE be kind and pick up after yourselves so the park's grounds can remain beautiful and enjoyed by others in the community! Remember to also pick up after your dog just as you would in your own...

Once was of the finest parks or Greenways I had been to. Very lovely! However, things are changing. The creek is dying from excessive salt that is put on the roads and getting into the aquifer. The stream buffers are nearly gone and they keep cutting down the trees and vegetation the insects use to live and mate, as well as provide shade for the creek. We just need manage for the next 100 years and not depend on the sparse 1 tree deep buffer along the creek, and continue to cut down trees etc. We. They also remove a lot of dead trees from the creek so they don't ruin bridges and water intake, but the fish could benefit from some natural structure. Still a lovely park. Watch for weird stuff going on in the woods above the fish hatchery.

This scenic loop trail follows a section of the Little Lehigh River past a variety of cultural gems and scenic landscapes. At the upstream end of the parkway you'll find the Trout Hatchery, Museum of Native American Culture, and Bogarts Covered Bridge. There's 18th and 19th century barns, mills, houses and lime kilns. It's a popular trail for walkers and cyclists the river is a well known and popular trout fishery. You'll find some interesting interpretive signage but this trail system is notable for a lack of directional signage. There are a few dead ends and rough spots but overall it's in good condition. Mostly gravel with some asphalt surfaces.

This is the perfect place for taking in the serene beauty of nature & wildlife! It's also an exceptional place for jogging, walking, bike riding, dog walking, disc golfing, taking pictures, & just about anything else you can imagine! The trails are pretty decent and there are bathrooms & water fountains for maintaining oneself. If you explore the park in it's entirety you will find other things to do including: fly-fishing, feeding fish, perhaps a festival going-on, horse back riding, etc., etc. There is also something in the winter they do annually called "Lights in The Parkway" where you can even rent a limousine to see in person!
