Just returned from a long three day weekend. This is a beautiful place. Ponds, playgrounds, entertainment, clean bathhouse and a fantastic camp host name Chuck! Greet welcome and directions of where to set up at. Very accommodating and friendly. Wood for sale there. Casey’s close by and the great town of Allison is close for groceries and more. We visited various other small towns in the area. Put this on your list my friends. Worth a stay. Jrangel DBQ, IA.

Very nice clean park. Entrance is somewhat difficult to see but when in the park, it's open to a lot of areas. Picnics, playground, areas to park and relax. The geese in the pictures were meandering along the road and not afraid of my car. The mom was the leader, the kids/ teenage geese 😅 and the dad was at the end. A perfect park picture.

Love this park just so peaceful. I even happen to see the last two days a coyote on the trail that runs north of this highway park. The rolling prairie trail. Just never know what you may see here. Wish I could of captures a picture of this coyote. Maybe next time I walk I may see it and get a picture.

Really nice place we went fishing and had fun besides for this guy coming and being very rude to me and my kids about taking fish home with us we took one large mouth bass and 4 catfish he was mad about it and yelling and say cuss words at us was not a very fun time after that someone needs to get that guy out of there and not let him come back he was rude to a guy and his son there to sad world that we live in just wanted to take my family out for a nice day of fishing and the guy dumped fish into the pond from another pond around the area called orchard pond guy said he is on the fishing board or something like that but it's very against all state laws to dump fish from one pond to another hope no one else has this same problem...

Went tent camping for a weekend at Wilder Park. The tent sites were a bit wet due to some rain, but the camp host was very accommodating and switched us over to some dryer sites. Tent sites aren't too far from the bathrooms/showers. There was ample shade, which was nice. Tent sites have a firepit and a picnic table. The park overall was very nice with plenty of activities for everyone. The tent sites are primitive-no electric or water at the sites. The camp host came down on the golf cart pretty often to check in. The park has firewood there that is available with a freewill donation, and bags of ice for sale near the camp host's RV. Great...

My husband and I stayed here in July. This place is beautiful! There are lots of established trees, walking and cycling paths. There are park benches that surround the lake and a beautiful two level area with wooden loveseat swings to sit, rock and enjoy the views. Picnic tables are thoughtfully placed throughout the park. We camped here one night but this place left a lasting impression. Did I mention how clean and well maintained this place is? Well, it’s evident that the camp host and everyone involved with this park/ campground take pride in what they do. Wilder Park/Campground in Allison, Iowa you really know how to make campers feel...
