The lots were accessable. We got there late for Colorado 14er parking and there were still spots. The trail for Sherman was easy to follow and not overly crowded but a busy trail (no conga lines). We looped and did Sheridan and Peerless before storms made us head down. There are options to loop from any of the 13ers so nice to add on after the big but easy summit. Sheridan was a difficult trail. Lots of loose rock so not great for running but I'm sure people do.

It’s just about 10 miles exactly of dirt road to get here. While there are no major potholes or big rocks, it is rocky and bumpy pretty much the entire way. Could a 2WD car with low clearance make it? Yes. Would I want to do it? It wouldn’t be my favorite thing. I saw one 2WD car out of about 30.

It’s a pretty hike. An easy one as far as Colorado 14ers go. Try and follow the cairns while you’re hiking. I wouldn’t recommend filtering any of the water either, it’s flowing through and around very old...

The road is heinous. Google says mostly flat and tis true in terms of gross elevation change but so many rocks and so much washboard. my puny little red subaru almost died up there, about a thousand times. i really dont understand how those guys/girls made it all the way from leadville. i was looking down on that little burn-out town....
