Wonderful place. Unfortunately the Tundra Swans do not come here in great numbers like they used to back in 2001 and before due to the lake having been silted from a big rain. Attempts at restoration have not been very successful. We went back on November 23, 2019. There were a few Swans just south of the overlook, along with a few ducks and Geese. Majority of the lake in front of the overlook was frozen.

Awesome place for bird viewing. Very clean grounds. Love the paved parking pads. However, the restroom/shower building could use some attention. Updated for 2025- shower building has gotten the attention that it needs! Thanks you to those involved!

Good place to pull off for the night in your camper or RV. Electric and WIFI during staffed season. $20/nite. Noisy highway right next to you, and sites very close, no privacy.

Perfect for what we need! Our first choice for camping when coming to this area. Camping sites are good sized. Lots of extra room. Maintenance staff is friendly. Word of caution there is highway traffic noise and some times its difficult to get a spot. Also the potential of your spot flooding (especially this year - 2018) is also there..... but for us its perfect and our favorite little campground...

Camping review It's an ok campground but it has its downsides. The showers are coin operated and I could not get them to work. The bathroom is a long walk from the camping area. The campsites are in view from the nearby and noisy highway.

Some good things are the view of the lake, some faucets for drinking water, and...
