Skokos Performing Arts Center — Attraction in Alma

Handicap accessible means sitting in the very back of the lower level. To get to any other seats requires stairs. We had to assist my mother to a seat as the back row was filled with non-handicaped people. The side door exits are very loud, the doors close with a big bang. The baby was getting fussy so I moved to the seats against the wall by a side door exits so not to interrupt others, but that diminished my having a good experience. If you are sitting near them it is a constant interruption of loud banging. I understand not wanting food or drinks in the auditorium but the show we attended was over 2 hours long. It would have been nice to purchase a bottle of water in the lobby and dispose of it before returning to the show. Water fountains are provided in the lobby but as I approached one for a drink the hillbilly ahead of me spit in it. There are no changing tables in the bathrooms. We attended "What The Dickens Christmas" at The Beard and Lady Inn. Fantastic show, scrumptious dinner, and a lovely company of performers! I very much enjoyed the extended use of the grounds, square dancing, and group participation caroling during transition of scenes to make the experience more interactive and immersive. This certainly offers a welcome departure from the usual sit down and shut up approach of standard theater. Job well done to all and sundry! Fantastic time at the Arkansas Performance done by Alma Intermediate School. The kids were awesome! The facility is an incredible facility and an awesome asset to the community! Great sound, comfortable seating and atmosphere! My whole family loved it and plan on returning for other performances as much as possible!

Also, I looked on their website and they do rent out the facilities for events! They give great discounts to nonprofits too! I definitely plan to rent these facilities in the future for some events we are planning to bring...
