I want to inform the public that El Capitan dam is closed to the public on Wednesday and Thursday of every week,and closed on the 1st Friday of every month, and sometimes there are nighttime fishing tournaments... I lived in Lakeside for a short time and found El Capitan to be a great place to relax and reflect. A great walk in nature and close to town. That was in '94-'95. I recall many hang-gliders off the Northern Ridgeline. I don't recall many 'jet-skis'. So nice. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan now and go 'up North'...
