What a great area to hike! For those of you not familiar with Arizonaâs diversity here is a treat. About 3.5 hours north of Phoenix Valley and at 9k feet elevation the temperature will be about 20-30 degrees cooler and the green will overwhelm your desert eyes. The trails intersect and make a loop or you can do an out and back hike depending on your fitness or time available. The peak is off limits as it is on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. Trail is moderate to difficult with plenty of views. Just a sneak peak of trail #95. Plenty of wildlife in the area, Elk, Coyote, Wolves, bobcats and mountain lions.
