Sunshine Cave was my favorite spot in Lava Beds National Monument. The sunlight streaming through makes it unique compared to the other caves, creating an incredible atmosphere. Definitely a must-see if you want a cave experience with natural light and character.

The cave is not very long and not very challenging. There are a few places that the cave top has collapsed and the sunlight can shine into the cave. Recommended for beginners.

It was closed due to the time of the year, but the natural bridge was available so we did that instead. Not really that great of a natural bridge, but you do drive over it.

Sunshine Cave is great. It's a pretty short one and there's a lot of areas you need to duck around but the cave is beautiful. The spots that the sun shines in give it a surreal feeling. The ground is a bit uneven and there's one spot near the end that is pretty slick but if you go slow it's not too bad. I would definitely put it on the list of caves to go to at Lava Beds...
