The trailer office was closed before the 4:30pm stated time. There was very little available information posted on the windows, no placards, only little metal sculptures about 18 inches tall with the names of all the relocation camps stuck in the white gravel incredibly in front of the trailer. There were a couple of buildings, we weren't sure what that were. For such a historically significant location, hopefully they will make it more memorable so history does not repeat itself.

This is a heart-breaking place. The largest of the 10 concentration camps in the US during World War 2. it was approximately 7000 acres and held nearly 20,000 Japanese-Americans that broke no laws but answered "incorrectly" on a skewed questionnaire.

The tour was very informative and they had pictures and letters and experiences for us to look at. The jail is preserved. The museum had original artifacts and a barrack to look at!

This is barren, sobering place, now little more than a vacant field with a plaque and a weathered sign. A lifelong residentl told us that all of the building materials had been taken by locals and used in the construction of their homes.

This is also an area right at the center of the ongoing court battles over allocation of waters of the Klamath River, the interests of fish and fishermen, farmers and crops, wildlife refuges and the annual...

I am a history buff. I especially have a tremendous desire to learn about the history of the parents of friends of mine, friends of my parents and in an indirect way part of the past that even to this day affects me. While there is not much there to help envision what it was like 75 years ago, it is up to you to feel the power of standing where 18,000+ Japanese Americans were incarcerated...
