This a beautiful area. The lake is so serene. I appreciate that there is still a free place to camp in California. Each campsite I visited off of Gold Lake Highway had it's own fire ring and picnic table. The areas were pretty flat and clear of debris. There are bathrooms with non-flushing toilets.
