We love it! Gorgeous trees and trails. The camping area is the second park entrance.

CAMPING We have been camping here two times. Both times, in March. The weather was cool at night, warm, but not hot, during the day. Most campers were quiet and fairly friendly. The sites do not have electricity or running water. There is a lodge and bathroom that have both. Fires may be prohibited during dry seasons.

KAYAKING In 2022, we rented kayaks near the camping area. The kayaks and paddles were in decent shape. The water was nice and it was a peaceful trip. Afterwards, some in our group started jumping off the dock where we launched the kayaks and were asked to stop by the staff member (whoops).

TRAILS We went on a little hike/walk near the campgrounds. It was nice, not very long. I hear great things about mountain biking though, and want to try that!

BATHROOMS There are restrooms near the camping parking lot. The women's room had 2-3 stalls (one handicap). The sinks and toilets could use a cleaning. The floors seemed to get cleaned though. There are two showers at this bathroom. They have hot water and are outside. The lodge has another set of bathrooms (no showers). There are stand alone showers throughout the campgrounds with no curtains or hot water. The wall sort of wraps around for privacy, but I wouldn't recommend bathing in your birthday suit. Maybe just a quick rinse in your bathing suit or something, but someone truly could just walk right in.

PARKING There is no parking at the actual camp sites. You park in the lot, then load all your gear into push carts. The wheels are good, so it wasn't hard to get our stuff loaded up and to the sites. It could be an issue for someone with limited physical abilities though (not sure if there are accommodations).

KITCHEN There is a very small kitchen in the lodge. I am not sure if it is open to general campers, but we went with a group and rented the lodge. There is a regular sized fridge/freezer combo, a microwave, a sink, and an icemaker. There is no stove/oven, but you could plug in a griddle, crockpot, etc. I think there was a hose out back.

LODGE See above, but also wanted to note that there is a little area outside that can be used as a stage. There is...

What an amazing place for trails and camping!!!! We will be back for sure!!! We were in a last minute pinch and we're able to find a primitive campsite that was Amazing! Not only did we have privacy because not many people stay during the week, but it was So reasonably priced! I highly recommend this place if you are into camping, biking and the outdoors! I highly recommend getting the group sites, they are a little bit more pricey (still cheap!) But they offer more space. We had seven of us total including a few kids so it was nice to have the extra space for the kids to run around and still fit all of our tents and camping equipment. There are showers with hot water in different areas around the campsites and there is also a large building with toilets, plug ins and sinks. We didn't find out until the last day but the showers also have water spickets at the bottom underneath the shower head, that you can use for filling your buckets or rinsing dishes things like that. The trails go for miles and there is even a biking trail that is for experienced riders with jumps and narrow winding paths with steep drop offs in a few places. The camping is primitive, so you do use the wagons to cart in all of your camping supplies. The campsites are not very far from the parking lot though so it doesn't feel like you're walking too far, however the trees help to make it feel like you are far out in the wilderness. The only thing that I would say we didn't much care for were the four wheelers and golf carts driven by the state park people go down the paths past the camping sites. So it can get noisy early in the morning with the vehicles driving by. But this will Not hinder is choice to come next time. I love that is so close to home so you can get more time in at...

I am rating my camp experience at a 1 star but if I could do a zero star I would.

Let me first say the camp site I stayed at was H1 do to the person camping with would not have been able to walk into the camp grounds.

The site was located right next to the parking lot and the restrooms.

It’s a pretty nice size lot with a few shaded areas a fire pit and stand up grill.

Now for the reason I rated what I did.

Quite time some not seem to adhered to Saturday early and I do mean early morning a group of people in walked into or out of the camp site with carts back and forth and speaking very loudly. That was not so bad. But Sunday Morning around 3am a group of people again with the carts and talking very loudly (almost party loudly) this went on for a solid 3 hours.

I didn’t feel safe to get out and say anything at 3am. But finally at 6am I went out to a group of atleast 15 males having a gathering at the restrooms. (All males in both the male and female restrooms).

I stated to them that they should be respectful for the people sleeping and went back to my tent and started loading up.

Had this not had happened I would have rated better.

But when the cats away the mice will play. And with no camp host present no need for rules to be adhered too.

The group of male guys on this trip had orange and blue shirts on and...

This was my first visit at the bike trail park. What a great experience. Way better than I could have imagined. This mountain bike trail park is well organized. Trails go from smooth riding to advanced challenging. You have options and they are well labeled as you go. One direction for all bikers. A beginning and an end. If you are looking for a nice ride at trials with no difficulty this is the place. If you are looking for a challenge with many dips, roots, rocks, hills, sharp turns, wooden built bike paths and more, this is the place. Like Mentioned, very well organized. This place is volunteer maintained. Seems like its maintained by the same riders. The riders are nice welcoming people. Once a month, the direction on trails are changed and I was talking to one of the riders, and they are constantly adding to the trails. I saw men and women of all ages and teenagers.
