I have been looking forward to seeing this park for some time. Well, four days ago I finally did. A really nice park with good trails, and at least one stream. Some ups and downs, some with stairs and railings, some without. The trail I took ran near a stream and there was a point where I had to cross. No problem that day because it hadn't rained for about a week. Could be a little wet right after a rain; no bridges. Read moreI used go to this park often for 5+ years for it's Great small park feel with gorgeous trails. I moved out of area almost 2 yrs ago.
Yesterday I went. It was very overgrown with down trees, making it hard to pass thru especially with a dog. And saw 2 dead snakes. Eeek! I was very disappointed 😞 I have an Australian Shepherd and some plant with little green balls covered her fur. (she was leashed entire visit) I took her to Pet people for a bath and then completely brushed her out when I got home. I will not go back. I had many memories...
Read moreSo pretty, even in mid March with the sun out. Took our dog for a walk through the trails which offer plenty of variety in terrain and elevation change. Trail restoration is clearly underway, so thumbs up to the park staff and trail crews. Variety of parking locations at different elevations throughout the park. We ran into several plaques marking historical facts which was best. Would be nice if public restrooms were more readily available, but I understand providing maintenance year round may prove difficult.
