One of the nicest welcome centers in GA! The woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful on 10/9/25. She knew that the shutdown was limiting visitors’ enjoyment in Plains. So she explained how to enjoy the open areas in some of Jimmy Carter’s National Historical Sites. She provided a map and invited us to look around. She also gave us packets of peanuts and wildflower seeds.

Husband indulged me by taking my photo with the Jimmy Carter cutout. He was the first President I campaigned for. I purchased a tee shirt with Rosalynn’s butterfly trail on the back. I took pictures of the rocking chairs and a Jimmy Carter mural.

Outside, the grounds are peaceful and relaxing. I took photos of waterfowl by the pond & a wine bottle tree by an area perfect for reflection. The roses smelled so good. We both used the bathrooms which were clean and had...

Southern Hospitality abounds here. They go above and beyond to try to assist you in finding your perfect locations to visit. They were 100% correct and we were able to incorporate nature, history and film locations into our road trip. I was disappointed the I-75 Welcome Center was closed Friday evening. That turned out to be a happy accident. If it was open, we probably would have driven right by and missed out on this help and...

Stopped by on our way to Plains Ga. The staff was very informative on the area, unfortunately due to the inclement weather hurricane passing by. Most places were closed. The staff provided many insites to President Jimmy Carter and Roslyn and seeing some sites we could drive by and see. Georgia has so much to offer, we enjoy getting off the beaten path and exploring the small towns and cities....

Friendly staff inside. Clean and full.pf tourist brochures for all.s Ross Georgia. The state maps here are free but kept behind the counter and you have to ask for one. The paper on the state maps is very cheap though and the map tears easily. The gardens around the building are very nice too.

Clean restrooms, well-stocked with information and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Good bit of info on Jimmy Carter and you can get a little pack of peanuts to snack on while you're there. Make sure you visit the ducks!!
