Very interesting place. I went here for the Fudge Factory after passing some signs on my way to Fort Wayne from southern Indiana. The general store has plently of shirts, candy, toys, and souvenier items from Uranus like, stickers, magnets, shot glasses, etc. Typical stuff. The Fudge Factory part of the store was not like I expected. Not very many varieties of fudge, not nearly enough to call yourself a fudge factory. Only like 15 flavors max. They had some of the usual fudge flavors like peanut butter, chocolate, dark chocolate, but they also had other flavors like blueberry cheesecake, M&M, Butterfinger, and cookies and cream. Plus there were chocolates and truffles if that's your thing. Everything within the Fudge Factory and store was pricey. $5 for 1/4 pound of fudge (one piece), and $20 for 1 pound of fudge (4 pieces). The pieces are moderately sized, but still expensive. Think about a 2x1x1 inch rectangle. One bag of flavored kettle corn was $25. A small bag with no more than a handful of chocolate covered peanuts was $13. A small shot glass with a simple design of Uranus was $7. Expect to pay a lot for anything you buy here. Reason for 4 stars was the prices.

The service was great. As soon as you walk in you're hit with "Welcome to Uranus!" from literally every single staff member in the building. I was looking at the chocolates and fudge and the staff member asked if I would like to "Take some Chocolates out of Uranus". Then when I checked out I was asked if I "had fun exploring Uranus". Its a very humorous place. Would have given 5 stars if I was only talking about the service.

As for pets, I brought my small dog into the building after looking everywhere for a "No pets allowed" sign. Couldn't find one anywhere, not even on the website. I carried my dog in my arms the entire time. Mind you he is a 5 pound Yorkie not an 80 pound Labrador. I overheard a man ask about pets and the staff member said only service animals are allowed, but the staff member said nothing to me when I was standing right in front of her with my dog in my arms. But I wasn't kicked out for having my very small (non service animal) dog. Very confused about the pet policy.

Overall, its a very fun place to visit. No complaints other than everything...

We finally made it Uranus! (words I never thought I'd actually type).

After having seen the signs for Uranus Fudge Factory for the last 5 or 6 years on our trips to/from Fort Wayne, we decided to see what all the fuss was, and we were not disappointed!

Uranus Fudge Factory is a fun, kitschy, novel place. From the moment you walk in the door and hear "Welcome to Uranus, where we pack your fudge for you", you know you're in for a fun visit.

The fudge counter has I don't remember how many flavors of fudge, all made on site. I was just in awe of the selection. I sampled a few but settled on Dark Chocolate Fudge. It's delicious and very, VERY rich....so it's basically perfection.

Their "tour" amounts to a window that views into the fudge making area. There was no fudge in production on our visit, but I think it'd be fun to watch.

There is a vast selection of Uranus Fudge Factory t-shirts for sale, and even more that are not Uranus-specific, but rather funny, punny, or some someway tangentially related to the making or packing of fudge with a wink and a nod.

Did I mention candy? They have a lot of candy. They have a lot of various types of candy. They have old (read that: legacy) candy. There's even probably close to 40 baskets of assorted individually wrapped candies that you can select from to create your own candy basket (sold by weight). For me it was a couple handfuls of Chick-O-Stickยฎ.

To dispel the notion that this is a fudge-and-candy only place, there's also a nice selection of I assume locally made jarred products and, of course, Uranus Fudge Factory (yes, I did purchase a shot glass). In another area there is a huge selection of merchandise ranging from novelty glassware, games, playing cards, and festive/themed/whimsical underwear. I swear, this place has everything.

Our visit was about 45 minutes, and we took our time. We only visited the factory/general store and nothing else on the property. This won't take a big chunk of your day.

I'm glad we gave in and finally visited. It was a fun visit. I don't know if we'd consider it a repeat destination, but with it being a short drive off of I-69 in Anderson I can see us dropping in from time to time to check...

A Fantastically Funny and Fudge-Filled Trip to Uranus! A visit to the Uranus Fudge Factory in Indiana is an experience that will leave you with a smile on your face, a bag full of delicious fudge, and a collection of hilariously quirky souvenirs. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, it's clear this isn't your average candy store. The vibrant, kitschy decor and the abundance of pun-laden signs immediately set a playful and welcoming tone. Upon entering, we were greeted with a cheerful and enthusiastic "Welcome to Uranus!" by the staff, who were just as much a part of the fun as the store itself. Their friendly and engaging demeanor made the experience all the more enjoyable. It's evident they love what they do, and their energy is infectious. The fudge, of course, is the main event, and it does not disappoint. With a wide variety of flavors to choose from, there's a tempting treat for every palate. The staff are generous with samples, allowing you to try before you buy. We found the fudge to be rich, creamy, and utterly delicious. But Uranus is so much more than just a fudge shop. It's a destination packed with things to see and do. The store is a treasure trove of novelty gifts, hilarious t-shirts, and other unique merchandise that you won't find anywhere else. We spent a significant amount of time just Browse the aisles, laughing at the clever and often cheeky humor that permeates the entire establishment. For those with a love for the delightfully weird and wonderful, the Uranus Fudge Factory is a must-visit. Itโ€™s a place that doesnโ€™t take itself too seriously and is dedicated to providing a fun and memorable experience for all who venture through its doors. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a stop at Uranus is sure to be a highlight of your trip. We left with our sides hurting from laughter and a strong desire to return. We can't...

You think that the fudge here will be at best, mediocre due to the fun nature being the highlight. Nope. This is the best fudge ever! And, the people working are a party on its own. You get the chance to giggle like you did in sex ed in 7th grade.... DON'T MISS URANUS IF YOU GET THE CHANCE TO POP IN. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
