My boyfriend and I went to see my favorite musician of all time (Robert Plant) perform on August 21st. This was our first time at this venue. Essentially, I've waited for this moment my whole life. I spent around $700 total on two 4th row buffet tickets. First off, I'm glad we left early because the parking situation was a complete nightmare. Then the line to get in was beyond chaotic and there weren't enough employees/signs around to help us find our way to the buffet section. We eventually get our tickets scanned and finally make our way towards the buffet. I showed both of our tickets to a woman at the beginning of the buffet and she guided us towards the food and politely explained our options. There was no mention of us having wristbands at the time. However, we get our plates of food/drinks and decide to sit in the more secluded picnic area next to the creek. We were enjoying ourselves until one of the creepy security men started intently staring at us. He was grilling us HARD. I then asked him if I could help him with something because it was making me extremely uncomfortable in that moment. He loudly asked us if we were part of the buffet in front of a large crowd of people. I was appalled that he would do such a thing, it was so embarrassing. Apparently we were supposed to have wristbands on that were never provided to us. Regardless, I informed him we have two buffet tickets and we carried on with our evening. We decided to get up and grab a cookie before heading to our seats and the same security guy creepily approaches us from the woods shouting in front of MORE PEOPLE! He shouted that he knew the couple standing next us had buffet tickets, but continued to single my boyfriend and I out and said, but I don't know about these two right here. To say I was absolutely mortified is an understatement...Never in my life have I received this kind of treatment at a music venue. Let alone one this expensive. I'm not sure if we were targeted by him because we are in our 30s and have tattoos or what, but this experience was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I tried calling and speaking to the general manager. Of course they weren't available and I had to leave a voicemail. It's been over a week now and I haven't received a call back so here is my Google review. Tell your employees to be BETTER and stop discriminating young people who spent A LOT of money on tickets. I...
Read moreI had paid for two front row seats Row 1 seat 31 &32 Over $403. each ticket which I saved a long time for, a celebration of my 35 year wedding Anniversary and my daughters Birthday. To see STP & The Cult. We got there and there was a huge amp in front of our two seats, taller than we were, it was so loud we had to cover our ears, our whole body shook and we felt ill. I asked the seating people to move us because the amp was so loud it covered our view in front of us of the stage and was so loud you wanted to cry. They would not find us other seats, said that the place was full and to go back to our seats. We tried moving in front of other people's because it was too loud, people were telling us to move. I had been waiting for months to see the show, paid too much money and now have missed two days of work due to constant ringing in my ears and vertigo. I have made a ear appt. that I cannot get to until October, I am praying the ringing will stop and my daughter and I have not lost any hearing, you cannot get your hearing back once it is gone. I am angry, the amp should of been on the stage or no seats in front of it. I feel the venue is greedy packing as many people in there as they can for profit not caring about the health of people. For the money I paid I should of had the best seats period. Having never been there before we did not know what we were in for till it was too late. I want the venue to make sure they do not put other people in harms way from now on and to have the balls to call and email me back. I left a message for management to call me today...
Read moreIronstone is a beautiful venue and the sound is great. There are good options for food and drinks. The biggest issue I have at this place is that the staff is always just so rude. This most recent concert I went to I came upon two staff members telling a confused little old lady with a cane who was very obviously struggling to walk that she could not use the disabled bathrooms. Because I work with disabled people for a living and I understand accommodations, I immediately intervened. Then the guys started backpeddling and told me "We told her she could use the bathrooms if she identifies as disabled otherwise, she needs to use the other ones." So I ripped into them, then escorted her over to the bathroom myself. I also told him I would gladly stand there all night to make sure they did not deny one more disabled person access. Here's the thing - this is the second time I've been here that I've seen this exact thing happen. Not really sure what they were trying to do because I go to plenty of other venues and I've never seen anyone act like toilet cops before. And pretty much every staff member I've ever encountered at this place is just excessively rude, nasty, and acts like they just really don't want you to be there. The other thing is the fact that they don't have any real bathrooms. As far as porta potties go they're actually not too bad, but come on, a beautiful facility like that and the best they can do is gross porta potties? They also have really inadequate disabled parking. Seriously...
