TL;DR - Fun for Kids, Less So for Parents
Our family visited Fun Castle this past weekend, and while the kids had a blast, the experience left something to be desired from an adult perspective. The sheer joy on my children's faces as they explored the various attractions was undeniable, earning Fun Castle a respectable 3 out of 5 stars.
However, the value for money simply isn't there. The venue felt smaller than anticipated, making the overall cost seem quite high. Adding to this were several frustrations. We encountered multiple non-functional machines, including the Deal or No Deal game and the air hockey table. Disappointingly, these were not clearly marked as out of order, leading to wasted coins – and therefore, wasted money.
The customer service also had its hiccups. Initially, I was told by a staff member that card payments weren't accepted for tokens, despite a visible sign stating otherwise. While this was quickly rectified when I pointed out the sign, it was an unnecessary inconvenience. Perhaps the most concerning aspect was the apparent understaffing. The few employees on duty were visibly stretched thin, juggling birthday parties, cleaning, and managing a wide array of activities like mini golf, laser tag, go-karts, and even the kitchen. While the staff themselves were polite, the sheer workload they were under was palpable and likely impacted the overall efficiency.
In conclusion: Fun Castle offers a good time for the kids, and they will likely leave happy. However, parents should be aware that it's a somewhat pricey outing for its size, and there are some operational issues that need addressing. If your priority is solely your children's enjoyment, it might be worth a visit. But from an adult standpoint, Fun Castle feels...
Read moreDecided to take kids to fun castle. I was unaware they needed separate tokens for batting cages and wasn’t told that upon asking for helmets for the kids and purchasing quite a lot of tokens. We walked up to the cages and discovered the tokens didn’t work and realized we needed different ones. Before heading back to purchase them we decided to walk over to the new facility indoor batting cages. It seemed nice but the 4 ppl standing around that worked there were not. They stated at us as we walked in never greeting us nor offering any information. I had to ask where the cages where and how much? I was told 35 and that’s it! So again I had to ask if we could go back to see them. She didn’t move from behind the counter and said yeah and there’s no machine pitch at all. So me and the kids walked back to darkness trying to locate switches to turn on the lights? We finally left and as I did I heard one of the workers say Karen and laugh. This was a terrible way to do business and to treat customers with kids. We agreed not to bother with the batting cages outside as it was cold so we just did the arcade We have been going here for years but this will be the last time they get another dime from this family. I had been wanting to do a party here for my grandson as well but that’s...
Read moreWe booked our sons birthday only to go and find out there were under construction and the party would be moved to a different area that smelled awful. The bathrooms were out of order and all party guests had to use Portable toilets. The staffers also never bothered to charge their laser tag vests so all the partygoers were not able to play the game. When we asked for a refund, they argued about giving us any money back and the staff then could be here heard saying my wife was a rude mean witch (they didn’t say witch). The only provided a small refund. When I called back to speak to a manager, I was told the owner would call me back and they never did. So not only was our son‘s birthday party ruined, but my wife left feeling completely dismayed. This is one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had in a place like this. Clearly, they do not care how their customers are treated or how the place is run. While I understand, emergencies will come up and construction has to be done. compromises should be made to anyone, who is expecting to have working bathrooms when they book a birthday party. And no one should be called names, especially when all they want is to be compensated because they did not get what...
