This is a great hiking spot with easy to moderate trails and plenty of great photo points. Don't let the name deceive you into believing that some of the trails will be a breeze as there are definitely a few uphill areas that have seen people tap out and turn back for the lower trails pretty quickly. The lower loops are very walk friendly and popular, especially the stroller accessible botanical walk which is a very unique and welcoming experience.

Remember that these are WILD TRAILS and while they are consistently maintained by a dedicated parks and recreation team they are absolutely home to plenty of critters and creatures that you need to be vigilant about watching out for. This definitely includes rattlesnakes that are absolutely present and the biggest reason why going "off trail" is not a great idea. I was blown away by the serene and lush desert landscape – it's truly a feast for the eyes. The panoramic views of the Superstition Mountains and the East Valley skyline, stretching all the way to Phoenix on a clear day, are simply spectacular. The trails are clearly marked and well-manicured, making for a pleasant and enjoyable hike. My furry friend loved it too! It's fantastic that pets are welcome and thrive on these trails. Go explore and experience the magic for...
Read moreSuch a beautiful hiking spot! I brought my dog here early yesterday morning and we both really enjoyed it. I took this gorgeous picture of the sun rising from the side of the mountain, the views from up high are incredible! There were also a good amount of other people hiking there with kids, dogs, and family & friends, but not so many that it felt crowded. It was very peaceful and quiet. The trails are marked, and there are several restoration areas as you're making your way up, where you can sit and rest for a few mins. Parking is free and there are plenty of parking spots, there's easily enough space for 30 cars... possibly more. Make sure to bring plenty of water and a...
