Re: Passport Services
In the past, I have received passport services from Arbutus library for multiple individuals and it was great. Recently, I have received passport services from Arbutus library for my daughter. I paid for the following...

During the appointment, the library woman was clueless on how to properly fill out the application and how to take a proper photograph of a baby. Last year is when I had a library appointment. I just received a letter in the mail from the "passport administration" requesting for more information. I don't even think I'm going to be able to fly out of the country on time due to poor services from this Arbutus branch; moreover, it's going to cost me more money if I have to change my flight. I'm sure many other people are experiencing the same issues with not having their passport applications properly being filled out and getting letters back from the "passport administration" requesting for more information and signatures. Overall, you can have the Arbutus Branch Library fill-out the application for you, but they are in no way professionals. It feels as if they just have any random staff member doing it. They diligently worked hard to accommodate our last minute need and were polite, professional and courteous. Both the young woman at the front and our passport agent showed us genuine kindness and ensured all our documents were in order. I have told everyone how the librarians at this location are bad a$$ and...
Read moreI was homeschooling my son long long before others took it up during COVID and this branch was awful. When I explained to them that I was homeschooling I got a lot of eye-rolling and huffing. I felt like I was being punished for homeschooling my child, like not sending my son to public school was offensive somehow. On the day that I was in the library quietly teaching him about the Dewey Decimal system I was told that if I wasn't using a computer or choosing books we had to leave. This was generally from the very old woman who has been working there forever, who came over from the Landsdowne branch. I really hope she has...
